Someone on here was asking about where to find another person to do character portaits, now that Lleonie and Yoiko have practically quit.

Go here! This woman is amazing. Very versatile with the characters, managing to catch their personalities even in the wildest.

Eh? I'm nowhere near good enough to take people's money or silver for portaits. I suck at detail work and I'm always afraid to mangle other people's characters. And I can't color like that! Or at all really, heh.

Additionally, I can't draw on command. Whatever talent I might have does not obey me. It'd be like months before I finished a picture.

Not so for Vespera there! Go get a portait of Stay from her!

Bah, you modest lil bugger. You have great line work, Dex and detail isn't everything. You should see my drawings. I wish they were as clean and crisp as yours.

I haven't found anyone who's style matches what I picture Anticor to be in my mind. One of these days I'll have someone draw him up.

Yeah, Yoiko's good, but she's not taking any more commissions. Which is why this thread is NOT about her. :P

Just wanted to add here. The link you posted and your own, DCSL, show awesome stuff. Isn't the female body wonderfully beautiful? Maybe one day I'll break out my scetchpad again. I'd love to colorize one of those sometime on my comp.

Comps are good for color, not as good for pencil and ink.

Ok, Dex. I took liberties with your Goddess. :) Shortly after my last post, I thought to myself, well, I could actually colorize one of your pieces. Never tried it before. This is a first for me.

I like goddess very much. Beautiful. I'm a huge fan of Drew too. ;)

I tried to keep as much as your shading as possible. Added a cheap, spacy background. Body color was inspired by the Nicole Kidman magazine cover. I forget which mag it was. Hair was an attempt at depth with grandients, which I admit, I am not very good at. I had to add the thigh lines to make it easier for me to color.

Anyway, great work on your own. I hope you like this.

Whoa, hey, that rocks! No one's ever colored my work for me before, heh. Thank you very much! I suck at coloring (as you can see from my gallery) so of course I don't mind if other people do it. And I'm glad you liked the picture. ;)

I kinda liked the pencils by themselves, though that is very cool. She is in the process of doing Stay (I hope). Can't wait to see that. I am hard at work on Strata too Dex ;)

I have to say that is some of the best art work ive seen in a long time .The Demon at Play is beautiful makes me also want to break out my scetch pad again

Rinika's damn good, yeah. But thus far, I have not had a portrait or even a Quicklist picture done by her. So I'll stick with promoting those I've sampled, since now I can attest to Vespera and Validus's abilities, and their adherence to my character descriptions.

After attending school with Lleonie for 4 years and living with her for a year and a bit, I know her art quite well, though I didn't see her able to draw a large muscular fella, very Anime influenced artist she is. Been looking to get a portrait of Dimmu for the past two years *chuckle* Aha well, Excellent portrait of Stray
