Whats the point of rolling up a human anything? What benefits do they get?

Personally I don't see the point of creating a Human in game. You already are a human in real life, well some of us may not be ::grins::. Then again, what race you choose depends on what you want out of Gemstone.

(shrug) They don't have any negatives, and there might be a class or two that would benefit from their minor bonuses their lack of negatives.
Ganalon was rolled human purely for the lack of negative stat attributes.

No negatives - even if they're not good at anything, they're not bad at anything either.

Humans are good on an RP basis because there is no "standard" of how they are viewed.
Humans are the next age. We WILL asymilate you into our collective, lower your shields and surrender your ship. Resistance is futile.

Shields only last one minute anyway, so they'll be down all too soon...

Well, if you're not human, the Empire will eventually leave you without a home.

Mechanically? Little. Culturally? They have a lot to offer.
Race should always be chosen with RP in mind, not stats. It is a good way to become bored with your character after about 50 levels, otherwise.

Good spirit regeneration with no negatives, and a small bonus to strength means less encumbrance.
Possibly in addition, the +LOGic bonus may affect speed of exp absorption, or it may be based only on the actual stat like it was on GS3. Haven't bothered to test.
Humans make good warding-based spell casters affiliated to col due to tons of mana. Are they as good as a dwarf for example? No, but then they don't look like midgets that trip on their own beards 8-)
