Was just having this conversation with someone else when I thought of this idea. Would it not make sense for SIMU to offer additional Fixskill's at a cost of something like 500k per 20 levels (maxing at 2.5 mil for someone level 100) to utilize an extra Fixskill beyond the yearly one? Discuss.

My opinion.. no way. I'm against them in the first place.. there should be consequences for everything which was one of the things that drew me to GS in the first place. Also along the same lines 2.5m is too cheap.
That being said it would be a cash cow for simu..they might as well start selling padding and weighting over the counter for just as cheap ... piss off a couple merchant whore accounts but make 1000 other accounts happy.

Fixskills isn't even supposed to be used in the first place. GemStone did better than ever when the training system left absolutely no room for error.

Yeah, agreed. I'd be against this option, or I'd at least expect them to charge a whole hell of a lot more.

I'd have to be a HELL of a lot more expensive before they even thought of implementing it. And I'd be against it, even at that...our yearly fixskills is more then enough.

Personally I think they screwed up with the lvl caps, the stat allocation, and the fixskills. But since the crap already happened, I see absolutely no reason to limit it the way they have. And I sure as hell wouldn't give it for free once a year, if it's given at all. Either give it for free, to the one profession some new change affects, at the time of the change. Or give everyone an option.
If your going to have the option, you should have to pay for it, and though I would prefer silvers. If simu did it, they would most definately do it for cash.
And I think they should lift the cap. Forget the fact that there may not be anything to hunt at the higher levels. If people don't like it they can suck it up. I see absolutely no reason for them to have implemented a cap.
I could see Simu doing it if they charged cash instead of silvers.
$45.00 for first additional fixskill within calendar year.
$60.00 for secnd additional fixskill within calendar year.
... something like that. Silvers, nah, thats easy to overcome. Cash is where its at.

There is just so much wrong with this statement, I cannot even be bothered to argue why.
