How are knockdown and stuns linked to the crit message? I had always been under the impression that if a rank x crit to y location causes a knockdown, it ALWAYS causes a knockdown (on standing/standard opponents). Same for stuns (stun duration being variable... based on.. damage?).

It's difficult to determine from my logs (because if an opponent is knocked down or stunned already you don't get the message). And I have no information to determine stun duration variables.

Anyone confirm this either way? Will a rank 9 crit to the leg in million point damage padded armor still knock you down for 1 point of damage? Still stun you (and if so... for one round?)

Thanks
... This kind of relates to the padding thread, in effect the question is... "Does crit and/or dam padding reduce knockdown/stun chance/duration"

If you get a high rank crit on the leg, you are going to get knocked down. As damage padding reduces damage and not the crit, you'll still get knocked over. As crit padding reduces the crit you're less likely to take such an injury on the leg and therefore less likely to be knocked prone.

Okay so you're in the camp of (for example) all rank 6 left legs cause a knockdown 100% of the time on standing humanoids. That's how I always thought it worked, I just didn't want to come out with it as fact without having any solid knowledge of it.

Any idea on stun duration? Calculated from damage and rank, just damage? Any other factors?

A stun round is a constant space of time. I can never remember for sure, but it's somewhere between 5 and 8 seconds. Therefore, an 8 round stun will last around 48 seconds.

I did some redux testing earlier, part of which involved hitting the crap out of my warrior. As such, I should be able to provide a # for each limb hit in the near future, depending on when I get around to it. While I'm at it, I'll probably scroll back through my logs and pick up various other stunners I've accumulated over the years.
