What are the best stat placement for Giantman Rogue?

There are three general philosophies:

1) Stats don't really have that much affect, just wing it.
2) Stats cannot grow once level 100 is attained; therefore, place stats so that most will be at 100 at level 100.
3) "All 100s at 100" is dumb, it's better to max TPs over pre-cap career.

For (2) and (3), consulting http://home.mchsi.com/~cphillips73/StatCruncher/StatCruncher.html is recommended. Maxxing TPs as compared to maxxing stats will not provide a whopping increase in TPs, just as maxxing stats as compared to maxxing TPs will not provide a whopping increase in general character effectiveness.

I'm personally in group 3, but might I add that making your max stats higher younger will help you hunt more efficently at a young level.

If you really think you are going to be around for a long time past cap, go for 100s.

I normally go for the max stats... although its not as effective in GS4.

I dont like the stat cruncher listed... I prefer to use the spreadsheet on from Tsoran.com

My current giant rogue has stats like this

Level 0 Stats for Giant Rogue

Strength (STR): 49
Constitution (CON): 68
Dexterity (DEX): 68
Agility (AGI): 58
Discipline (DIS): 73
Aura (AUR): 82
Logic (LOG): 73
Intuition (INT): 59
Wisdom (WIS): 69
Influence (INF): 61

which turns into
Level 100 Stats for Giant Rogue

Strength (STR): 100
Constitution (CON): 100
Dexterity (DEX): 100
Agility (AGI): 100
Discipline (DIS): 100
Aura (AUR): 100
Logic (LOG): 100
Intuition (INT): 100
Wisdom (WIS): 84
Influence (INF): 84

or you could put 88 in wisdom, and 42 in charisma, to get 100 wisdom and 73 charisma at 100. If you are going to max stats, just choose a stat which you can tank, the one which wont max. This is normally charisma or constitution I think. Ive seen some do it to strength.

If you don't like the two websites listed here, just tell us more of what you want, as far as the type of rogue you are making, and what stats are important to you, now and later. And which ones arent.

Someone can do the #s real easy.

Hi, I put those stats in the Cruncher and theres a difference of TPs of about 109 pts. Is 109 TP's significant?

*Actually what I really want to know is, are these stats balanced throughout the 0th-100 level training career. I wouldn't really care about 109 TPs if my training is going to be easier.

Placing stats for growth always makes it a bit harder in the the beginning, but with a giantman, he can afford to take a hit in strength. Dex is gonna hurt for a while due to the giantman dex penalty. I'm with AD tho, I hate seeing stats that won't go up after say....30 trains or whatever.

Again, it all boils down to what kind of rogue you're wanting to make. Your stats will impact that decision more than they'll ever impact hunting.

I personally think rogues are one of the easiest classes to do stat growth with.

Most any problems that arise from low stats in the beginning can be overcome with spells. 509 for low strength, massies for low dex, a different/faster weapon base for overcoming dex/agility problems. Or haste imbeds. Some things can get expensive or time consuming. It all depends on what you want, and what you are willing to put up with.

Also, are you going to be hunting solo with this guy? Hunting with a friend? Or a slave? Hunting solo, I believe is easy enough if you know what your doing. But group hunts are much more effective, if you can get a group that works well together.

Is 109 TP's significant? It's 1 TP a level. Not significant. Remember that you can always generate TPs post-cap.

Putting Agi/Dex low is stupid.
