Adredrin, Strayrogue, and Parkbandit have expressed an interest, I was wondering if anyone has suggestions.
A tool built by Calael a while ago got me creating my own version. It goes through all of your log files (if you autolog) and pulls out all pickpocket related information. It's already built in MS Access and I've started porting it to Visual Basic (for distribution) and the heavy lifting is done. Processing 1000 logs (230mb / 6 months worth) takes a little over a minute. Directory Tree is also done, it checks the registry to see where the Wizard is installed and defaults to the log folder.

So, before i get too far into this, any suggestions as to what people would find beneficial? What i'm already planning on:
1) Summaries (botch %, avg pull, total silvers, total silver & gems)
2) Specific Character search - Detail & Summary
3) Top 10 best marks (just for Park)
4) Ability to update gem values (new gems)
Any other suggestions?

Get it up and running and on the web. With GS4 coming, I have two new thieves in the works.

I think I felt something move...
Wow.. looks amazing.
I want to be able to tell:
How much I have garnered from the good folks of my park.
Who's the biggest contributor
Who have I tried collecting from the most
Who has given me the most on pull average
Who has given me the least
I used that program that Artha suggested and did a search of all my logs.. 2,300 of them over the past 2 1/2 years. Garnered something like 190 MS Word pages of "You reach into XXX pocket and pulled out xxx coins" or something to that effect. It's not very pretty and unless I really do some editing.. it's basically only useless data.
I'll try to finish it up tonight and get it transfered over to Excel to do some calculations.
One thing I did notice as I was going through the list... there are some heavy weight contributors that I need to personally thank.

If you want to zip up the files and upload them somewhere, I can process them and get them back to you. That will at least give you some totals (including gems)

That's probably not a good idea... the secret world of Falgrin should remain a closely guarded secret...
Besides, I don't need you using all my cyber lines. :smug:
Or I can email you the 190+ page document.. would that work better?

Quick update. The program is complete. What I'm working on now is an install package that will also install the necessary ActiveX components (for the DAO (Database) connection and grids.
The only other thing that I haven't done is help files. I hate doing help files.

Almost makes me want to use the wizard, just so I can autolog my thefts. Almost.
Oh, how about the ability to search and find out how many times you pulled a specific gem?

If you currently use the Autolog and pickpocket, you're welcome to test out the Pickpocket Log Analyzer 3.0.
The ghetto website is http://members.cox.net/legendwezas/pplog3.htm
A few notes.
*There are no instructions, I haven't gotten to them yet*
The full install download is an 8mb zip file.
After downloading, unzip and run setup.exe.
It will walk you through the entire install (and will add it to your add/remove programs for easy uninstall).
When the install is complete, Go to your Start menu and run the program from there
The upgrade to 3.01 (if you'd previously downloaded version 3.00) should be downloaded directly into the program's folder, to overwrite the previous executable.
The program will stop functioning on 11/8/03. This is so you don't take this version and use it forever. It's the only way I can think of to be sure I get feedback
There are two bugs I'm working on currently:
One tester had a problem with the "Gem Value" button, giving him a "type 13" error. (hopefully fixed with 3.01)
Another tester had a problem when trying to process log files multiple times and getting slightly different summaries each time. (still unknown)
One tester had succesfully ran over 500mb worth of log files (> 2000 log files or about 1 years worth) through this program. It will run this much data, you just need to give it a few minutes.
Instead of filling up the forums with bugs, please drop me a message at LegendWezas@cox.net with any bug/comments.
Thanks.

Meffridus with 49 pulls and 21,350 was my top mark from 2/6/02 to 10/29/03.
Total Pocketed (incl gems): 531154
Not including a 3 million silver rechargable gem from Zhagen.
Total take in the past year and a half is over 3.5 million silvers.
Botch %: 0.09%
Average Silvers Per Grab: 115.23
Beat that :smug:
Thats a nice piece of work, Wezas. I'm no pickpocket, nor do I use a PC, but its prettyfuckingcool.

I concur. A beautiful piece of programming. Haven't found anything weird yet.

You'll likely find something weird today. Evidently I neglected to make the date-check when starting the program a value instead of a string.
So "11/1/03" > "11/08/03"
For a working version (that will work until 11/08/03) try http://members.cox.net/legendwezas/PPLog3.exe Put that file in your "C:\Program Files\PPlog3\" folder (or wherever you installed the original program. You will be overwriting the old executable.
Keep those bugs coming in (either to my E-mail suggested in the program or in U2U)
:::edited to add more detail about .exe:::
