Shields/Blocking?

I was wondering how this works. Anyone know a formula? Is it a flat 5% chance to block per rank per train? Does it depend on shield size? Thanks for any help.

A character with 1x shield training and a medium shield will block a like-level foe roughly 5% of the time in stance offensive. A character with 3x shield training and all other factors the same would have roughly a 15% chance to block that same attack.

yes.. I saw this. It said for a medium shield for 1x you would have 5%. Does this mean for Towershield you would also have 5% chance or is it greater? That is what I was wondering.

"The odds for an outright Block are based on the defender's Shield Use ranks compared to the attacker's level. It is affected by stats, shield size, and stance."

You have a lesser chance of blocking with a small shield, normal with medium, greater for large, and even greater for tower.
