I'm checking out eHealth (http://www.ehealthinsurance.com) right now to find my own policy. It sure makes you appreciate companies that pay for these benefits.

Just thought I’d ask who here thats self employed has what kind of coverage.

We're under Celtic Insurance PPO, and their coverage pretty much sucks - I'm letting the policy lapse after this quarter.

At one point hubby was starting a new job and I was self-employed, so we didn't have benefits. I joined the Chamber of Commerce and got in on one of their BCBS groups. It was pricey but not nearly as much as if I tried to get the benefits without being in a group. Plus individual insurance didn't cover nearly as much as the group insurance; I got their quasi-HMO type, with 5-10 buck co-pay on almost everything, and only something like $500 deductible for inpatient hospital stay.

That was around 10 years ago though and I doubt that kind of option's available for what I paid for it then.
