Anyone else keeping up with this?

PlayStation 3 comes in two configs, $500 and $600. Except the $500 config has nothing on it in terms of peripherals like Internet access and even memory cards, so the only real choice is the $600 system. Graphics are incredible, though, damn near pre-rendered quality. Blows the 360 away.

It looks like the Nintendo Wii is stealing the show, though. Graphics aren't great, but the gameplay is apparently incredible with the new controller. No price announced for it, but it'll probably end up being $200 to $300.

Tons of new MMO's are being announced, which is bad news for Simu and HJ.

Did you see the PS3 graphics? I wasn't impressed, I have a 360 and I'll be getting a PS3 but the graphics look like the current gen 360 games.

A lot of stuff about Too Human. I saw a few clips, but I wasn't that impressed. The gameplay seemed a bit jerky, not that great, and they're trying this new thing with the camera. Apparently you can't control the camera at all, it all works on preset "cinematic" angles. I'm pretty sure that's been tried before with pretty bad results.

As for the PS3 graphics, have you seen the trailer for FFXIII? That's in freaking realtime.

And Nintendo just announced Smash Brothers Brawl for the Wii. It'll use the classic gamepad, not the remote, it'll be online, and it'll have a bunch of new fighters, including Metaknight, Pit from Kid Icarus, Zero Suit Samus (skin tight blue suit), Wario, and freaking SOLID SNAKE. It might also even end up having Sonic in it.

Oh, and Spore for the PC still looks incredible. Probably my most anticipated game right now.

Nintendo officially stated that the Wii won't cost more than $250. Compared to the $400 for the XB360 and the $600 for the PS3, that should give Nintendo a good boost.

I was planning on getting a Wii and a PS3, but from the articles I've read from E3, while the PS3 games looked nice, there was nothing all that new. And considering that the PC has essentially already surpassed the PS3 in graphics (look at the screens for Crysis and Bioshock), there might not be a reason to get a PS3.
