Hey all, I've been hunting reivers and it's going well, and they seem to have a decent amount of treasure. Anyway I'm in the landing and really like it here...but I've been thinking about moving to teras and hunting in the lava flows. Is that a good idea or am I too young? my CS is 153 with 425, but I use 710 and 702 to put down if 710 doesnt' work...which rarely happens.

Also, another quick question, I'm currently using 3x somewhat CP doubles, and I have a HCP helm, would I be better off going with 6x normal doubles or 7x if I can afford?

Here is my character if it matters

Higher enchant armour is more likely to save you than somewhat crit padding.
The rest I'll need a sec to remember how I did it. :)

You'll get your ass handed to you in the lava flows. I'm not kidding.

The greymist area however is great if you want to go to teras.

Is there a lot of people in teras isle? i.e. massies, empaths, clerics...things like that? Also are jungle trolls good for loot?

Thanks for the advice so far

Decent loot, good skins, and it's a crap shoot if anyone's there or not. But those who are are generally very helpful.

When I was that train, Solhaven had just openned up. So after I hunted the reivers, I went to Solhaven and hunted around the lake. The critters generate quickly there so frying should be easy. You do have the occasional Shan Cleric or Roater, but if you give a think on the amunet that one is prowling the lake someone usually comes and kills it for you. After that? I think I went to hunt the Pookas after all the way up to Night Mares. Grant it that area is as poor as dirt now.

Teras Lava flows at your train are really tough. I went hunting with someone who was a sorcereress at your train and between the steam and the high TDs of the creatures she was killed quickly.

Lots of great people there. However, like most places empaths are hard to come by at certain times of the day. The bench though is usually stocked up with healing ales and herbs.

Greymist though seems to be over hunted so boxes were becoming few and far between a couple of weeks ago. Skinning is your best bet for silvers if you can do that at all. If loot is not a problem, you will fry quickly with the fast generating creatures. The chieftans cast tangle weed and insect swarm.

Well I was getting owned...never died but I had to run back after a minute or 2 every time. My DS is fine, even stunned and knocked down I wasn't getting hit, but the chieftans entangle, ash hags firestorm, and fog beetles poison (hit me everytime...4 times in a row, even though needed to rolla 90 to hit). My maelstrom would mess up trolls, but chieftans would miss or hit for 5-10. never fought the beetles because I'd have to run to town and get unpoisoned/healed.

I think I'll wait till 29 until I head back there, in the mean time I think I'm gonna checkout sol haven's lake.

ask someone to cast 207 at you and the beetles' gas will not poison you.

River's Rest.

I also enjoyed the Lake in Solhaven.

Undead if you want to try pooka and the stuff up that way near the Landing. Although they're reallllly poor.

The spider temple is okay i had forgotten that one. I would avoid the Dobrems around Solhaven, they generate really slowly. If you hunt the tree spirits, mezics and Spectral shades near the lake at Solhaven watch out for the bats, vesperti. If I remember right they are sorcerers and might be immune to your spells.

Don't listen to Ganalon, he's an idiot.

Hunt Giant Hawk-owls in Illistim.

While we're on the topic...what can you guys suggest for a level 28 ambushing rogue to hunt? I'd prefer to stay around Landing/Sol Haven and I'm currently doing well with cyclops, but I'm bored. Teras is an option too.

Any ideas?
