Cleric Deity Pro/Con

Anyone have a list of being aligned to what deity gives you? Pros/Cons?

They just affect smite/bane alignment, 319/317 crit types, and flavor messaging for clerical spells. Otherwise it does nothing for you. Pick it based upon RP not mechanics.

While I agree it is not a major component a list would be nice.

I am alligned to Ronan right now, and using fire/heat based attacks against stronghold things does not work out well at all.

It does if you follow it up with something cold.. or i might have that backwards..

Since they changed 317 because people rightfully complained about the unbalance of attack flares your deity doesn't mean much for it anymore. And since you can pretty much hunt undead or living whichever you prefer its just a debate over which you'd rather spend 4 mana on rather than 2.

My point was that I would rather choose say electric flares over slash if I use my last remaining covert.

With my 261 CS at 50 trains, I am not hunting comfortably in the EN. Any suggestions? Maybe my problem is I am still trying to hunt trali shamans...

EDITed to say I am (obviously) talking about my 50 train human cleric, trained as a pure with 61 300s, 40 200s and 100s. Mostly use 317 for stuff I don't want to take the time with, 302 for everything else.

With regards to your CS, it should be enough. One suggestion that I would make, is to drop your 100's circle down to 31 ranks, and pick up another 9 ranks in the cleric circle. Staying 20-21 over my train until I hit 70 or so was helpful.

My bane and COL cleric is 54 trains, and hunts the black forest and when he's daring, he hunts the temple. impementation of 240 kicked the door wide open for cleric uphunting.
