Turn on your local abc/nbc/cbs or cable news affiliate.

Continental Airlines subsidiary Continental Express blew a set of tires out on the left side landing gear on take off. Now they're figuring out how to make it land safely.

:(

Somewhat full flight, keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

I flew on the same type of plane this morning to corpus christi. And will be on another as I hop across the state tomorrow and thursday.

MORTALITY CHECK!!! Glad my life insurance is up to date.

Plane landed safely on the rims. Good pilot skills no doubt.

Actually I was being kind for those who like to pray, and being respective of those who were on the plane. I personally did not pray, its not something I do as the norm. However I did watch with close interest and hope beyond hope that they landed safely. Especially since I flew on a jet of the same make/size from the same airport this morning and can relate to the 'what ifs' of flying.

They actually did ok because of competent piloting and competent resources Continental Airlines gives/requires of its pilots (along with the FAA)... AND also due in part to the technology advancements here in the good old US that contributed to the bare wheels/rims standing up to landing the jet at 170 mph on very thick/hard concrete and the aeronautics advancements that helped the plane land with no tires on the left side without spinning out, flipping over, exploding and killing all its occupants.

I'm glad you're working on your prioroties though Backlash.

I was being facetious to make the point you just made.

Science, engineering, and technology rock.

Though, I did hear a story about how 500 meditating Bhuddist monks actually made the crime rate of Los Angeles go down...

Agreed Science, engineering, technology, etc rock. But thinking that those are the only things that matter in this great unknown is too limiting.

Anything is possible. Anything.

The human intellect is the most powerful thing on Earth. When we harness that concept we will live in paradise.

Capitalizing on anything having to deal with airplanes is quite the way to gain patronage.

I will share some interest in the omfg!1onetwo plane on TV yeyz0r mob mentality when a media station documents a pigeon somehow flying into an X-43A's engine.

Live.
