Possibly selling the sorcerer pavis, an ebony flecked urglaes pavis bound with black ora edging.

Its +24, 11 pounds and casts 310.

It will occasionally curse you (or try), though it has never succeeded to curse me. Only sorcerers can raise it. Raising it normally casts 310; and its double mana. I believe you need 24 MIU ranks to raise it (I've never failed after that). The 310 spell will add 10 DS and 10 TD to the sorcerer's entire group.

It has been converted to a tower shield, and has 60/195 breakage numbers. No I idea if it could be further enchanted with premie points.

When the other profession pavises are in the same room, you read the pavis and select one of the other spells by turning it, so as to cast those spells. To this day, I don't think all the pavis owners have ever been in the same place.

The deal is, NYC is stretching my pocket book and I have a coupla things going on I need some cash for (broker fee for a new apartment being item 1). Is anyone interested in this? I was expecting prices around the 600-900 dollar range, but I am really not sure what the price should be.

5x with somewhat scary breakage tends to draw away from the fact that it's of an artifact level quality. Tie that in with it's special ability being restrictive to a class that traditionally does not utilize shields, I would think you'd be lucky to get half of your lower end figure.

Yeah...profession restricted self mana != regular self mana.

The pavis is worth roughly 30-40 mil. You MIGHT get more, but very doubtful. Before runestaves, much, much more.

Yeah the ranger pavis just sold for around that much and the ranger pavis is the best one out there.

I will give you 25 mil for the pavis.

Well...the point of this is I need cash. I had thought that it had retained most of its value. Whats 25M in cash these days? I mean, if I take a 25M silver bid, then turn around and sell the silvers, I'll get what, 250 cash? Thats oh...one tenth of my broker fee. Not selling it for that :p I thought I was gonna get a coupla hundred. 250 dollars, I'm not selling something so dear to my character. Thanks anyways.

Actually, it's 15 per million now, sometimes as high as 18 per million. So your figures at 25 million silvers in cash are slightly skewed. However, still not what you wished to get out of it.

Yea, what Chiv said. The ranger one is by far the best one. But I do disagree with the breakage statement, seeing that thing has a decent breakage for shields. But worrying about breakage is the least of anyone's worries.

Toss it on play.net's marketplace with a MB of 30 mil. Some die hard collectors might fight for it. But the shield has become quite useless in a day of runestaves.

Set your buyout at 37.5m then sell the silvers off at 16 per and you can reach your bottom end figure.

There are still Sorcerers out there that went with the brawl/shield method and the Pavis is still pretty nifty so you may get a buyer for it at that.

Who buys silvers for 15 per, let alone 16 per?

People who buy at Sergey's website, www.gsauctions.com

Not to add too much to the off topic thread:

Anyway definitely hold out for a decent price on that pavis no matter what the mass says its a very nice item.

Not that items don't sometimes sit on said website for months, let alone years.
