My question is I was wondering how much would the +11 difference between the two races CS due to racial bonuses in aura and wisdom make in hunt? Is the +11 CS a large deal compared to hunting? Do older sorcerers have mana management problems(able to finish hunts easy before running low of mana)? My problem with dark elves is the fact that there spirit regeneration is so slow. Assuming encumbrance wasnt an issue? Is the +11 bonus to CS a large deal to sorcerers at higher levels? I would much rather prefer to cast CS based attacks than use implosion as well.
thanks

Halfling ftw! There are too many dark elven sorcerers around. No spirit regen problems, and... and... damnit just make a halfling.

Don't pick a race based on stats alone. You'll be bored silly. Read the culture and pick what you like.
I will answer your question and state that the 11 in extra CS is nice, but isn't going make or break you at all.

Your bolt will be stronger than a normal DE, but you will miss that CS early on. As others have said, however, try to go with what you will have more fun playing, unless you are making a mule/service character.

If a major concern is bolt AS then you're really playing the wrong class.

Rofl at older sorcs having mana problems. Spirit regen is nice specially if you're gonna go COL. Emo is right don't pick based on stats alone.

11 CS is roughly equal to three levels - less if you train more than 2x in spells. Big difference in the beginning, neglible difference later.

Can hardly believe you even have to think about this choice. Halfling all the fucking way!!
