That's what premium points buy.... alteration scrolls. By the way, 8 mil was kind of a joke. If you figure premium points cost $25/100, then the 600 points a scroll costs = $150. Figuring the silvers cost at a generous $17/million, it actually comes to like 8.8 million silvers.

The thing is that with the new points system, points are valuable just for being points, and for what they can become (not what they currently are, if you get what I mean). I could buy 6000 premium points from someone and use them for 10 alterations, which is not nearly as valuable as using them for padding or any of the other stuff you can have done...

Which is why I imagine not a ton of people will buy premium points for altering purposes. Even if I sold them to him now for the lowest bid, 2 million, why would I get rid of 600 points for two mil when I can sell those plus 600 more (in six months) for far more?

The amount of multi-premies belonging to the same individidual(s) essentially nulls that arguement.

Also, alter scrolls are accumulated in one half of the amount of time that it originally took to obtain one (alter scroll) prior to the premium benefits revamp.

Again, that's my humblest of opinions and I'm sure there's room for healthy debate.

But mofos' pockets are being... ganked.

I disagree completely, Stanley. 25 extra bucks a month (over a cost of a regular account) for a 100 premium points, and it takes 6 months of premium points to get a scroll. That equates to more worth on the scroll, despite the fact that you can now get 2 in a year, versus 1 a year. The reason being that these points can now equate to much more than it used to be. You can use them for any numerous amounts of other really neat things so when you are going to use them for a scroll instead, you are not only selling the time it took you to accumulate it, but the tossing away of other options as well.

Exactly. If someone is looking to make money on their premium points, why would they make a paltry 1-2mil on 600 when they could stockpile those and make far, far more in just another year?

Not sure I understand what you mean here. Because the number of premium accounts is more than the total number of people that own the accounts, it nulls the argument? I may be totally lost...but I don't get your point.

As other posters have already mentioned, premium pts gain more value as you accumulate more pts. If you think about it, you're more likely to find 3-5k pts for sale than you are a measly 600. Another poster already said this, but why waste the 600 when you can wait a little while longer and get a lot more for your money?

I read your other thread regarding Allen's silver sale. Robin Hood, please stand down... If you don't have a solid point and some facts to back it up, don't discredit someone else's reputation.

I was stating an opinion (a humble one, as I stated) in this thread and a fact in another one. Bye.

All arguing aside, how much are people actually offering for the equivalent of an alter scroll?
