We have a pool at work based on points (for prizes). I'm taking any and all suggestions for winners for the Sweet 16 through the championship.

Anyone with an eye for hoops care to share their predictions?

You don't need our advice.. if you got to ask for help with a march NCAA pool on a text based role playing forum you're better off making picks based on team color. Your odds of success will be higher.

UConn is the best team in the tournament... BC is a tough team for a 4 seed. LSU is also tough for a 4 seed. I'll show you my bracket, one sec, I'll get the screen shots from ESPN.

Yeah... Besides UConn, Nova and Duke I think the rest of the teams are closer than normal in terms of skill.

My bias against them aside, I still wouldn't pick them for the Final Four, I don't think. I don't like picking more than two 1's to make the final four, and I like UConn and Nova better.

Watching Duke lose to Georgetown was awesome.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Final Four had no #1 seeds in it this year. Duke has shown they really are human, and UConn has a well-rounded team, but no one person on that team can really carry them if they start to get down. Besides, I like underdogs.

I know from reading some articles that picking all of the top seeds won't make you a winner, so at least I have a more informed lineup with your help.

Only 7 percent predicted a Final Four with none of the top seeds and just over 13 percent had a Final Four that did not include both Duke and Connecticut.


As you probably guessed, George Mason is the team that busted the most brackets. The Patriots were picked in 1,853 entries to make the Final Four

One of the managers told me that almost everyone had Duke and UConn as the final two so they can't advance at all. I am hoping that means that I'll retain my spot and win the IPOD. I've heard it's a Nano and then someone said it's an IPOD Video. Either way, I'll take it. Second is a Sony Shelf Stereo, Third is a DVD/VCR combo, Fourth a DVD Player and then various prizes in descending price ranges the 10-30th prizes are all $25.00 gift cards.


I have no idea why I went ahead and stuck with UCLA, but I'm damn glad. Thanks Hulk for your help, I went with the bulk of your picks and LSU definitely was a good thing. And of course the Buckeyes helped me by losing early. This is Buckeye Country so I assumed lots would pick them out of loyalty.
