Anyone know where I can get quarters besides the bank? Do Grocery stores let you buy them or something? The bank is closed! Whaaa!

I need to do laundry because I have an interview on Monday!! OMG!

The quarters are for the laundry if you didn't make that connection... sorry...

There's not a dollar changer at the Laundromat?

Sometimes grocery stores will give them to you.

Stand on the corner, or a stop light with an empty cup wearing a sign saying, "The Tool needs Quarters."

I hate that, friggin laundry rooms that require quarters to use the machines yet DON'T have a change maker. You'd think they'd put two and two together, you know?? Idiots.

Anyway, yeah, try the Customer Service desk at a grocery store...or maybe even the register. They should help you out.

Empath Tayre: I have one white shirt I need to wear to my interview but it has a gross ring around the collar. I soaked it in Clorox and it STILL won't come out. :(
BogusPrincess: EWW, that's GROSS Tayre!
Empath Tayre: I am allergic to soap.

Alternatives.

Hand wash then iron.

Go to Mom's or a friends house who has a washer dryer.

Hit J.C.Pennys. You can buy clothing that will make any tool look respectable for pretty cheap.

You have an interview and you're washing your interview clothes in a washing machine?

It's called a suit, shirt and tie. You can take all three to the dry cleaners. Polish your shoes while you're at it. And for the sake of humanity make sure your nails are trimmed, your hair is cut, you have a clean shave and your shoes and belt match. Attention to detail is crucial. That and if you don't you'll look like the damn NEWB looking of for a j0bzor or whatever the hell you say that goes along with OMG in every other post.

Um.. it's a hollywood video...

I think that's overdressing.

P.s- I live by myself and I don't know how to tie either, so that's out.

You don't know how to tie a tie? What the hell are they teaching our generation?!

Rule of thumb, dress for the interview one step up from the day to day attire of the position you're trying to get. Hollywood video you would wear polo (with Hollywood video logo) and dockers or cargo pants so I would suggest shirt and tie for the interview. Trust me it's a good practice to get in.

<---- Works for a men's clothing store on the weekends and while there does nothing but pick shirts, ties, shoes, and other accessories for clueless guys so that they can look good at intervies, weddings, funerals, etc.

I HAVE a dress shirt and tie... but the tying the tie thing is my only problem. I probably could find how to do it somewhere on the internet....

Here is how to tie a tie:

Ties for dummies (http://www.menswearhouse.com/home_page/guys_guide/gg30_main.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=44863&bmUID=10 66534343354)

Click on the how to tie a tie link. I recommend the Four in hand, it's what I use. Small knot, less silk used so the tie is longer, and it's easy once you get the jist of it.

I had to wear dress pants and a tie at work when I was 16....... Now I get to wear jeans and a t-shirt and make 50 times the money. The irony.

I dressed in a shirt & tie to work at a gas station in HS. Since then, every single job interview I've been to I wear a suit. Until recently I only had one suit, but I really didn't need more then that. Wore a suit to the interview for my current job. It's the last time they saw me in a tie for 5 years.

For an interview, pay the extra few dollars and go to the dry cleaners. Also, if you're interviewing at Tower Records, from what I can tell they frown upon people with less then 4 piercings and natural color hair.

Got if I could get a refund for the money I spent for my Goldman Sach's interview.

I got absolutely destroyed in it too...

Tayre, if you have class before the interview, bring your tie and ask someone. Ask a cute a girl or something. Be creative.

Yep, I used to tie all my brother in laws ties for him the night before. Just loosen it enough to take off without wrecking the knot.

Wrong! A woman respects a man who dosen't need help. Especially how to dress themselves.

Some women enjoy supporting a man in some areas. Something about power or whatnot. My girlfriend would tie my ties if I asked her to. It all depends on the woman, but I think picking out one of those hot women in class would help your pimp-esteem you got, bro.

Love you Jolena!

I agree with you completely.

I wasn't going for respect... just trying to get the job done so he doesn't have to ask the interviewer how to tie it...:cool2:

Just as a heads up, grocery stores won't give you rolled coin. Of course it helps to have a friend at the service desk, I imagine.
