Family Guy sucks.
Simpsons, Futurama and King of the Hill rule.

The Simpson's and The Family Guy are pretty good. I wanna be Homer when I grow up and have a baby like Stuey (spelling?).
South Park has its moments while Rin and Stimpy still give me the chuckles.
Still, my favorites are the classic Luney Tunes. They are proof that someone out there is doing some pretty good drugs.

Oh man, the wrestling episode of Ren and Stimpy is one of my favorite TV episodes of anything.
"Hey Lump, it's time to throw the fight"
"Daahhh, okey dokey Loaf"

Simpsons in it's prime was the best cartoon. They're slipping. Quickly.
Family Guy has some quality moments, and then some ruthlessly predictable, insipid, and pointlessly crude moments.
"Lois, lunch is a sin. Taking a break is a sin. Bestiality is a sin. ... I don't know how that came up, exactly..."
The original comedy batch on Adult Swim are breathtakingly funny (sometimes).

Marge 'homer, no! Your going to kill us all!"
Homer "Or die trying!"
Doctor "Homer, you need some rest and relaxation. We're sending you to Florida"
Homer "Florida, but thats America's wang!"
Teacher "Go to sleep Ralph"
Ralph "Ok, thats where im a Viking!"
Stuie "I'd do her, I'd do her, Done her, lose the pigtails and we'll talk, I'd do her, who hasn't done her..."
some of the best moments of TV off the top of my head.

"How do you know about the machine?"
Critic and futurama are both highly funny underrated cartoons. I couldn't stand Ren and Stimpy. Only good part about it was that that variety show with the hot ass chick came on Nick afterwards

The two words that explain why The Simpsons were the best; "Ralph Wiggum". For the comedic value, no one has better one-line utter random content.
"My cat's breath smells like catfood."
"I broke my wookie."

Lois: Peter, it's great they picked your theme, but isn't it a little...esoteric?
Peter: Lois, "Who's The Boss" isn't a food!
Brian: Swing and a miss

I watched the premiere of a lot of cartoons. King of the Hill, Futurama, South Park, Family Guy, and some others.
Soulpieced is right, The Simpsons and Family Guy are by far the best. South Park has a tendency to suck, be good again, then suck some more. Futurama was funny for the first three episodes. King of the Hill had some good episodes.
Also, Speed Racer makes my head hurt. Ten thumbs down.
You watched the King of the Hill premiere when you were 7 years old?

I quote Stewie in my away messages sometimes.
"I've got a surprise for you Stewie!"
"No, wait let me guess. You got me another one of those colorful boxes that I'm expected to turn and turn until OOP! Big shock, a jack pops out. And then you laugh, and the dog laughs, and the kids laugh, and I die a little inside."
This one from Peter too.
"Peter, it's just a phase. You've gone through a few yourself you know."
"Yeah, like that time you spent two weeks narrating your own life?"
"I walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table. I looked with a grimace at the questionable meal Lois had placed in front of me. Of course, I would never tell her how disgusted I was with her cooking, but somehow I think she knew. Lois had always been full of energy and life, but lately I had begun to grow more aware of her aging. Her bright, exuberant eyes that I had fallen in love with were now beginning to grow dull and listless with the long fatigue of a weary life."
::Lois cracks him over the head::
"I awoke several hours later in a daze..."
i like most of the shows mentioned so far. i personally think family guy and south park are the best. the only show not mentioned yet hat i liked from the cartoon genre is duckman.

"For a long time it gave me nightmares. It was a constant reminder of how unjust the world can be. I can still hear them taunting him. 'Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids.' I mean, why couldn't they just give him some cereal?"

Duckman was good. Lots of big voices in there. Jason Alexander and I think Ben Stein off top of my head.

Here's my favorite family guy quote. Brian and Peter are sitting at the table eating.
Peter: Brian there's a message in my alphabits! It says OOOooOOOoo
Brian: Peter those are Cheerios
and this one is good too.
Peter: Ahh crap, since when did they change the meaning of for to from?
Brian: I think they had a meeting about it last night.
Peter: Why wasn't I told?
Brian: They sent you a card but it said for Peter on it, so you must have thought it was from you so you didn't uh.... you know what? its just easier to call you stupid
