Well I got a job offer last Wednesday with a company that is like the Wynn Casinos of the health insurance world. Folks want to work there and they have been among the Top 30 companies for corporate women. Just one of the many plusses.
I have been walking on cloud nine for almost a week, and it felt great to put in that resignation at my current employer.
Anyway I thought I would share. We'll see how great it is in a year or two, at least I'll be paid more to endure crap.
Excellent!!
And more importantly, do the hours allow you to fit GS in to hometime?
(say yes, I decay too much already)
:D

I'll be working 8-4:30 M-F a Gemstone junkie's dream. All weekends off, OT is voluntary.
I'll be doing the provider relations stuff. IOW when your claim hasn't been paid and/or there are issues with it - the provider ie hospital, doctor's office could end up talking with me. Contract issues, DX code problems etc etc.
It's a change from where I am now, since I only take escalated issues now, but the upside is that I can learn "their way" of doing things and can bounce back up to a lead or supervisory position. I'll be in training for 22 weeks.

OOF, congrats on the new job tho!
WTF - training is the best part!!
It's when you're let loose and have to remember the training while not having the excuse of being in training that's harder. .

Good stuff though!!

 You know Kristin I have been doing just that. Has been rather nice watching folks turn a little pale when they get the news, plus I've noticed that my brain is being picked pretty deeply make sure they extract as much info as possible.
My exit interview will be a well crafted "State of the Union" - I better warn the HR lady. I have NO intention EVER of returning there, so I figure that's the least I can do as my last gesture of goodwill for my embattled coworkers.
Thanks everyone for the nice words. I guess I must have passed the drug test, that was last Thursday - I'm guessing if they detected something in there I would have gotten a call by now.
