Disabling Smileys

There is no way to disable smileys in a post. There's a little link at the bottom of any page that says "Smileys are On". Clicking on the link attempts to show me pictures of the smileys and tells me there's an option to disable smileys in any post I make. This leads me to believe it's been somehow disallowed for everyone or something.

If close quote close parenthese together " ) no long defaulted to ;) when posting, that would be nice too. If I had to choose, I'd go with allowing one-post smiley disable-ation.

Under additional options there's the option to "Disable smilies in text"

Go to User CP --> Edit Options. Scroll all the way down and switch from Basic Editor to Standard Editor. With that you'll have the 'disable smilies in text' option that Kranar mentioned.

Otherwise it isn't there, just an FYI, Kranar.
