Hello board, I was thinking about migrating over to bow skills, but has this ever been attempted as a bard? And how viable would this be? I'm just so bored with sword and shield, and all my other characters use two handers. I'm thinking 2x ranged, or maybe 2x brawl, with 1x shield, as a voln master. Is this viable at all?

another quick question...I'm still fiddling with this all. Ideally, i'd love to be able to voln fu and use ranged. Currently, this won't be viable, i dont think, if I keep CMAN's, or maybe all lore. It will be nice to use 1030 eventually, obviously. If i take away all my cman's, I can 1x ambush, and 1.5x percept...will this work? Or will I need to be totally ranged? :( Then I might have to switch to another society if there even is one :wink:. Anyone have a clue?

I dunno about bard, but I 2x brawl-fu and ranged with my ranger with no problems. Of course, I don't have any cman's, but that's no big loss for my ranger.

Is this even a good idea for a bard. I don't know if you can make a sonic bow even, but it wont flare and I think that’s the only good thing that you can get out of the Sonic weapons. So I read.

I’m not experienced enough for you to quote me though.

Sivious, please go back to school and learn basic English.

As for being a bow bard: One I know of has successfully done it - Chutnee, aka, Iscikella. Now this may sound promising, but don't forget that suck ups like Iscikella get boons from their GM friends. Ergo, she has an elemental bow which vastly improves the ability of any archer. Personally, I wouldn't recommend the path. Atleast not if you're A) unexperienced B) have crap gear.

Hey can you sing a sonic arrow/bolt and then fire it? I never even thought to try that, but if so - that would be cool as shit.
