You notice XXXXXX reach into your pockets and remove 1 silver.
You turn quickly and grab XXXXXXX\'s wrist, causing her to drop your silvers back in your pocket!
You leap from hiding to attack!
You swing a blackened invar-hafted cleaver at XXXXXX!
AS: +432 vs DS: +320 with AvD: +29 + d100 roll: +65 = +206
... and hit for 57 points of damage!
Hard blow breaks the femur!
She is knocked to the ground!
She is stunned!
Invar-hafted cleaver clashes with fighting leathers!
[STR/DU: 89/224 vs. 27/227, d100(Open)= 25]
A dark shadowy tendril rises up from XXXXXXX\'s skin, writhes its way up a blackened invar-hafted cleaver towards you and lashes out malevolently...
CS: +435 - TD: +248 + CvA: -21 + d100: +73 - +15 == +224
Warding failed!
You feel a surge of intense energy suddenly tear violently at your body! You feel drained!
... and hits for 36 points of damage!
... 2 points of damage!
Minor burns to left hand. Ouch.
... 49 points of damage!
You fail to avoid the icy blast and that, as the story goes, is it!
Your SIGN OF SWORDS is no longer effective.
Your SIGN OF SMITING is no longer effective.
The brilliant luminescence fades from around you.
Your SIGN OF MADNESS is no longer effective.
You become solid again.
It seems you have died, my friend. Although you cannot do anything, you are keenly aware of what is going on around you...
The judge studies you carefully, then motions toward the bailiff who cries out, "Here before ye is the malefactor Falgrin. Falgrin is charged with 1 count of impropriety. This 1 crime carries a total fine of 1090 silvers."
The judge glances at you and says, "The monotony of my day continues on. And trust me, you're not spicing it up. Moving right along... You think you're innocent, eh? Well...let me ponder the eviden...NO! Guilty as charged!"
He continues, "In order to make reparations, you may settle your debt one of three ways. You may either pay the fine of 1090 silvers plus any other outstanding debts you may have, serve a total of 20 minutes of incarceration, or do 20 minutes of community service around town. You may ANSWER me either FINE, INCARCERATION, or SERVICE as your choice. Choose quickly, now, lest I hold you in contempt of court for wasting my time."
>
>answer Incarceration
The judge nods curtly and says, "As you wish. I hereby sentence you to serve your time in prison. Perhaps being locked up for a while will show you the error of your ways. Remember that after you've served your time, you need to pick up your items as soon as possible. We're not your locker, and we'll sell the items to the poor if you leave them. Guards! Take this man away!"
A number of burly guards come in, set you in some manacles, and drag you away. You are taken to a small wagon and set in the back under guard. After a short ride, the wagon stops and you are escorted into the local prison. Soon, you find yourself locked in a cell to serve your sentence.
(note to self... incarceration sucks)
The muffled voice of a guard echoes from beyond the cell door, "Roll call! Time to make sure you're still alive and causing me grief! Falgrin, ANSWER me these questions in order, one at a time, and within two minutes. What is today's month, the number of the hour of the day in elven time, and the year?"
(Seems to come on every 5 minutes when in jail to make sure you don't simply go afk I guess)
