The Revel is returning this April! Be the first to buy your tickets in March! Revel on!
Fun Event? Never been.

It was a little frustrating the first go. They had like 50 raffles for nice items. Heavily padded armor, the turtle shell armors made their first appearance there, as well as the ring armors, the gnomish tubes. If you had enough coins to piss around, then it was nice. If you didn't, well it depended on whether or not you won.
It had a number of spiffy ass items. My favorites were...
The flippable foods. I bought a backpack of a hundred.
The heavily scripted healing potions. I still have some in stock in my shop(not very good sellers but still cool).
Tugulka's Stompers!
Other favorites were pauldron armors and the womenly armor.
I'll be attending but I like merchant events in general.

I saw nothing in the documentation giving the actual month, so if you could point that out?
I loved the event, only had about 7 million to blow there after entering all the raffles, and didn't win a one. But I loved it! It was a great and fun event! I walked out of there with over 30 alters and services!
I can't wait, not sure I can attend, but I sure as hell want to go! If you can go, GO! I tell you!

I loved Anfelt the last time, probably my fave festival even though it wasn't all merchant merchant merchant and more about weapons/armor. It was tons of fun! I'll deffo be going!

I never got to go to the last Anfelt but I am uber excited about this one! Just hope that the GMs have enough recovery time from the 5 WD runs heh.
I think that it will be a ton of fun - all the stuff I've heard about the past one makes me ready for it to be April already! It will be interesting to see how tickets are released - these are just standard tickets right? No tiered crap?

It wasn't tiered last time, but I think SIMU is liking that way of doing things, seems like it means more money for them. Guess we will just have to wait and see.
I don't recall the exact cost for the last Anfelt, I am thinking like 50 for a premium member, and it was opened May 23 of 2003.
Finis
I had good luck at the last Anfelt w/Michi, so I'll definitely bring her to this one.

Any limit on ticket sales that anyone can recall from last time?

I heard it was 250

but I think SIMU is liking that way of doing thingsIt's a legal way of selective pricing, they'd be (economically) fools not to.

Never said it was a bad business decision. Just that they seem to be grabbing hold of it like a mutt with its bone.

The last Revel was free, I am pretty sure, but they held the artisan's fair at the same time in Ta'illistim for premium subscribers (or maybe that was ticketed, I can't remember).
Needless to say, when I first saw the banner I was all excited, because the last one was lots of fun and brought alot of people to Zul Logoth. I didn't see the little "Buy your tickets in March" bit until just now.... which means unless it is low-end priced, I won't be able to go, and that just sucks beans. Infact, even if it is low-end priced... oh anyway, I'll stop wallowing.
If anyone has the means, I do encourage 'em to go -- anfelt is alot of fun, and should probably be even better than the last time to warrant ticket costs, which means [assumedly] lots more raffles and nifty cool stuff.

Umm, it wasn't free. It was my second paid event ever after Ebon's Gate.

Ren, sorry, you are way off base.
Anfelt was a paid event. And there were a gazillion raffles. All said and told, if you purchased a ticket for every raffle, it cost 3,400,000 silver.
As I stated in a previous post, it was held May 2003, and is listed in my ticket purchase folder. It was also my second paid event, and in my book, the best event I have attended.
Quest wise, the WD wins hands down.

I think you're thinking of the Ale Fest, Ren. I recall the Ilyan Cloud happening around that time for Premium people. Anfelt was definitely a pay event.

While people are getting ready for Anfelt this year, I hope I'll be able to persuade people to search through their records and find logs from the old Anfelt. Of course, the lists are incomplete, and I'd love to complete them as much as possible.
So.....
Anything anyone has, no matter how big or small, is greatly appreciated! Dig 'em up and send 'em my way!

Sorry Gretchen, I have no logs, or I would gladly help.

Arg, you are right... I was thinking of the Ale Fest.

For a clothing whore like myself...is this evening something I would be REMOTELY interested in? Last time it was nothing but armor and weapons, right? Ick.
Weapons, armor, and hot female-only armor corsets.

It's a warriors dream. Much like a kid in a candy shop. What you probably want to see again is the Artisan Faire.
Finis
My 8x permablessed battle axe came from there, I didn't win it but I bought it a couple years ago, so I know they release at least one or two kickass items.

Thank god for that.

Anfelt was May 23, 2003, my ticket was 40.60 and I'm premium.

Anyone know if Anfelt is going to be free for Plat-members?

Revel of the Anfelt is a sweet, sweet event. I like it more than any of the other pay events, but I won't be going because I'm not *that* into GS anymore to pay any more than my account subscription for it.

I'm pretty sure it's got a dwarf warrior theme to it. Combat gear galore. This is no pussy event.

I went to the first one, and I'm pretty sure this was the first place the robes that hold VLA and are cloakworn were sold, so I was glad for that bit. Otherwise, save your money if you're just into the clothes stuff.

Artisan Faire was my favorite event, Anfelt second. There were shops and work being done that wasn't related to combat gear...plus I hit Master in Dragonbones!
The bones stop spinning, and fall to the table as Dunrock exclaims, "Dragon Master!!"
Dunrock sweeps all the bets down to Summerlyn.
You just won 39153594 on a Dragon Master bet!
You have been rewarded 31536428 silvers. – 10% of maw.

Will there be some fiasco surrounding the ticket sales?

Will there be some fiasco surrounding the ticket sales?
There hasn't been an announcement of an uber auction/raffle inside of it. I don't see why these tickets would fly out of the box office unless people have gone spastic just because they missed WD and FP tickets.
If there's a ticket left when i get round to buying one, on the day of release.. I'd love to go.
We'll see.

These things are gonna go quickly too. I would be suprised if they last as long as FP did.

Big surprise that I'll be going, huh? Most likely will be going on the Plat run, too, for list-making purposes.

Yea, for those that MIGHT be interested in this event, don't second guess buying a ticket. My bet is tickets will be sold out by the first or second day of sale.
