Well the District just got 7+ inches of snow dumped on it in under 24 hours. There is an official snow emergency. No parking on snow emergency routes or you get towed. Cabs can double their fares. All of this on a Sunday.

I'm glad I live in the city. Even though my little Suzuki Aerio has 4WD I can hoof it a mere block to a coffee shop, gas station (mini mart), and Kentucky Fried Taco Bell. Liquor stores are closed on Sundays. :(

I'm a little disappointed in the snow fall right about now, but apparantly it'll get stronger later on in the day. Driving was hell during the night though.

Yeah, I made a conservative estimate based on what is on my balcony and the trees just outside.

The news says its the biggest snowfall in three years.

My estimate may also be fairly conservative, it may in fact be a bit more.

Holy crap, the SNOW! It didn't start snowing until midnight or so last night and we kinda just "pft" it when we went to bed. Boy are we sorry now. It hasn't stopped and it's officially a blizzard. And we're out of Coke. This is horrible. :(

Got right about 10" of snow here. However they just plowed my road so I am still not happy. Would be better if I had a good excuse to work from home tomorrow.

I'm so glad they plowed to put ANOTHER &^%$!# 5 feet of snow at the bottom of my driveway..:smirk:

It gets ridiculous when the snow is taller than you at the end of the driveway.

Hey, I saw on MSNBC that there are areas in NoVA and MD that are without power. Anyone know what areas?

I love the snow, I wish it'd dump 24 inches here in Kansas!

Wezas

The areas without power are mostly in Maryland. And there's only maybe 3000 houses total without power right now.

Maryland seemed to get hit harder. Columbia, MD got hit with 21"

Screw the housework, you'll be way too tired without a bump.

You folks are pansies. We got 3 feet on Christmas Eve a few years ago, and we just cleared our driveways and midnight mass was still packed.

Buffalo hardcore Catholic snow-fiends, FTW.

Of course, it's about 37 Celsius here with an 80% chance of rain, so the humidity is through the roof. That makes the baby Jesus cry.

"Hey, did you know on page 535, it says Jebus?"
"It's supposed to say Jesus, right?"
