Im thinking about making a blunt wielding rogue, any thoughts? I rarely see anyone use blunts, any drawbacks to using them as a rogue?

Only real concern is weapons that puncture (most blunts do) and the undead (some of whom can't be punctured). This can be avoided though. Other than that no real concerns. The morning star is the best one handed weapon out there.

And stars and maces don't puncture right?

Stars puncture a lot...but hunting the undead is for poor people.

I use blunts as a rogue...
advantage:guild stuff like subdue, throwing...especially feras hammers... nice!

my blunt of choice is a fang... sort of a war hammer
maces don't puncture...spiked maces and stars do, war hammers do as well but not as often as stars.... ball n chain i just don't like them for some reason...they don't seem to do as much damage as a iron ball on a chain should... good luck...

Maces do ONLY crush damage. Maces and Hammers are both good weapons and a morning star is the most damaging one handed weapon available.

Blunts are good. The only issue is that it costs 3/1 instead of 2/1, so that's an extra 3 Physical TPs used every level.
