Sort of a fun little tool for sampling different kinds of music:

I did attempt to search to see if it's been posted previously. If it has well, tough.

Very damn cool. Don't know how many songs each station will have, but very sweet.

I've used it a fair bit. Decent alternate to Launch.

I checked this out this morning and thought I'd share my experience.

First I tried various latin artists. It recognized like none of them... except Marc Anthony but they must have him classified as pop because they only played his english songs. So, a bit disappointed, I decided to try another genre.

Next I tried the name of a band I really like. It recognized it and started playing music. I disliked almost all the songs so, to help them out a bit, I decided to add two more band names in the same style. It got a little better but not much. Since I was doing something else, I let it play anyway and when I heard something I really liked, I rated it. Same for those I really disliked. What happened is that slowly, the music got better and better (ie closer to my taste). After an hour, I was liking the vast majority of the songs and taking notes.

I understand now that using 3 band names was a mistake. Song names will yield more precise results. Bands make larger play lists with wider styles. I'd say start with a band you really like, and if you want to refine it, add a song or two. And most of all, patience. Rating the songs really will improve the play list.

Overall I'm quite impressed and pleasantly surprised by this thing. Too bad it's not doing so well with latin music but maybe eventually. Thumbs up!

I don't like it anymore... it just suggested Barry Manilow. :(

Nothin' wrong with a little "Can't Smile Without You"!

<cues it up on MP3 player>

Jorddyn, whose first concert was Barry Manilow with her grandma :)

Pretty good so far, been using this all day. Still plays some awful shit, but for the most part it's good. Some new bands, some old favorites. Hard to find bands I actually really like considering the style of rock I prefer, though.
