View Full Version : Some still unable to access the board

Me, for one. I'm able to access it from work, but I get a "page not found" when I try from home. I hear Soulpieced & Jesae are having the same issues.

And while many of you may be cheering at the fact the three of us can't post, it is still frustrating for the hundreds out there that are dying to hear what I have to say.

I've tried forum.gsplayers.com, forum.gsplayers.com/index.php, with a www, without a www, etc.

Pinging gsplayers.com also resulted in a timeout.

Other forums come up just fine.

::edited to add::
Yes I've tried cleaning out history, cookies, temporary internet files, etc.

It's not an accident. Now that we know you can access from work, we'll take care of that too.

Then there's a bug with the feature, because certain other people are still here.

I've got to start saving Chat snippets. there's some quality insults in there from time to time.

Joke's on you though, I don't have a dog. Your wife did appreciate the pearl necklace the guys and I chipped in and got her this weekend.

You can see it on various bukkake web sites, IM me for specifics.

Just got that a minute ago when I clicked on the "Today's Posts" link

Yeah some of us received the same error. It's been happening from time to time, but not as often as before. It's not the user maxed out error, it's a new and improved one! Heh.

Oh well this is just fucking beautiful.

I can access the boards via Microsoft Internet Explorer, but not through AOL. What a pain in the goddamned ass.

Its better than nothing for now, but think this can be fixed?

On the bright side, even IE is an improvement over AOL.

Tell that hick man of yours to upgrade to a real high speed connection and get rid of the AOL?

Yes, WELL. That "hick" boyfriend of mine bought me a wireless internet router.

The dilemma...only COX has service to our "area". WTF is my "area" I live in the center of the god-damned valley. In the CITY!111one!1one. The girl I work with who lives in the fucking boondocks has Qwest, DirectTV AND some other provider available to her. I don't know what the fuck THAT shit is...but I told Scott we need to move ASAP so I don't have to spend 60bucks a month for COX to give us wireless internet.

For some reason, he just seems to laugh at me when I tell him that...:(

I'm sure Cox internet would probably work much better if it wasn't through AOL. :D

It seems I was able to log in, with a Proxy(I'm not even sure I set that up right however. Though when using the Proxy, I can't access anything else. It is very odd! I did open a new account, and I wasn't able to retrieve my old information.

Do you use Cox for your cable TV?

I wasn't aware that Cox had a wireless internet service, I thought it was all hardwired (along with their cable TV lines). And around here it's $40/mo added to your cable bill.(I think $50/mo if you don't use their cable TV service).

AOL is what, $24/mo?

Tell him that he can stream porn if he pays the $60/mo.

I can access the boards, but all my old posts show no user name (example: the funny Tsin thread where he is selling premium points) and I have no post count.

I'm going to assume Cox does the same thing as Time Warner.

She's probably paying about $15/mo. for support of her wireless router and whatever adapters she has. She's not paying for actual "wireless internet" in the way you're thinking.

If she or her husband were computer savvy in the least, they would have bought their own wireless equipment and set it up themselves. Instead, they get to pay Cox a monthly fee for use of their equipment.

I'll give you a bit of advice, when I lived in Chandler the only thing available to me was Qwest. DO NOT GO THROUGH THEM.

Worst service ever.

Heh, I still owe them 300 some odd dollars too.

You give a proxy a try for the hell of it? Worked when we had big problems last time.

CrystalTears
01-27-2006, 08:57 AM
Honestly no I didn't try a proxy because it's not usual that I check the PC at home, and I don't think people should have to. I may try it sometime this weekend, but was just reporting the issue for now.

fallenSaint
01-27-2006, 09:21 AM
Shouldn't have to but meh, at least you would be able to browse whilst Kranar gets to beating the provider with a stick to fix it.

Couldn't access the PC from home again last night.

Tried several proxies. They brought up other pages in my favorites but not the PC.

Trying alternate web browsers seems to work for some folks, and is much less of a hassle than a proxy.

[12:39] Laccon: cause i go to sign into the PC and it doesn't log in, takes me back to the log in page
[12:40] Laccon: it like refreshs the page

He's gonna try to reboot and try again.

::edit:: evidently a reboot worked.

They do, underneath the post.

edit again to test

CrystalTears

Actually I believe it's on a timeframe (cause it's my theory and I've seen it happen elsewhere) that if you edit the post within a couple of minutes after posting, it won't show an edit line. Anytime afterwards it will.

Or perhaps you can keep editing as long as you don't leave the thread. Very interesting, but for the most part it does show.

Hypothetical situation here...let's say a friend of mine didn't have his post count transferred from the old board, and was furious about it. What should I advise him to do? He is THIS CLOSE to starting his own boards and making sure their is an accurate post counting system, so the situation is getting critical.

I advise him to go start his own boards. Remember to post at least once monthly in said forum so it doesn't get deleted for inactivity like Klaive.net did.

P.s. be sure to send Leetahkin a U2U because she might come back one day to check them and she will prolly join your "friends" forum too!

It reset everyone's birthday so don't feel alone!

As for the logging in repeatedly, have you made sure to check the small box next to your name and password where you login that says "Remember me" ?

Hopefully thats all it is, but if that doesn't help please let us know.

Let's try to keep this on topic. That will make it easier for Kranar to know who's having problems and what kind of problems they're having. Thanks! :)
