I never understood the brawling/shield Wizard. It isn't as if you were lacking is any type of DS, with the exception of pushdown or swarm. For all those points you could use a runestaff, and be better of magically, with roughly the same amount of DS.

Now, a shield/brawl sorcerer/cleric/empath I can undertand...but wizards don't receive a lot (if any) of bonuses for open handed casting. On top of that, I never once perceived a wizard carrying a shield....ever. If it is part of your RP, then by all means use a shield.

To stay on topic, I like halfling females for only fact that they only reach up to most races waist. Reminds me of a saying, if they're old enough to crawl, they're already in the right position.

Pretty much what he said, the DS when compared to a runestaff user is much much higher. Since I'm uphunting anywhere from 3 and 12 levels, that means much more DS and in an area like Illoke where she hunts, that means a lot.

Also a runestaff user is pretty much dead if they're caught in offensive, or if they're disarmed. With a brawl/shield user, you don't have to worry about being disarmed and you have a very strong offensive DS.

Sadly, she wouldn't be that much of a better caster if I dropped the brawl/shield because she's 2.5x in spells already. The wizard ranks wouldn't make that much of a difference at all.
