Heh, I used to have a chemistry set JUST like the one in that picture.

Of course, I was 8, and all I ended up doing was giving myself a chemical burn.

I had a chem set too, I manged to make what I thought was a weed killer..but all it did was cause the weed to turn blue, then grow HUGE in like 3 weeks.

I grew lots of molds with my kit. And left a few different-colored stains on the carpet. My mother was torn... she wanted to encourage me to be scientific and curious, but she didn't want any more damn stains. Eventually, my experiments were done outside on our deck which still to this day (probably) has a purple stain in one corner.
