Looking for a 2x or higher Claidhmore. New or old - but has to be a true claid (ie not a mocked up greatsword).
Can't really pay in silvers, so if you're willing to accept cash (Paypal..) I'm willing to pay!
Thanks.

Just to help you out. You want a "true" claid... not a mocked up greatsword..
Old style claidhmores are greatsword based with claidh weighting... so if thats not what you want, you'll want to remove the old style comment.
If you're just talking about the mutant ebony-hafted dwarven claidhs with vibe flares that float around... well then... no one blames ya.. heh..
Just trying to clarify for others..

If I remember right, one difference is Old Style = -10 AS, New Style = -10 AvD?
It's been a while since I've used a claid.
Correct, Old Style claidhs give a -10 to your AS, so a 1x is -5, 2x is +0, 3x +5 etc, while retaining the +10AVD vs Plate and Chain. New Style is base enchant with a -10 AvD vs Plate and Chain.
Old styles are also greatswords, so if you spec in it, you get the AS bonus with your blessable.

Do both the old and new styles have comparable crit weighting? I've swung a katana that supposedly heavily crit weighted and didn't hit anything like a claid - I was actually unimpressed with the katana. I have an invar claid now (assuming its the new style) and the crits are amazing.
All I know is that I dont want a heavily crit weighted greatsword if it hits like that katana.

I thought claids had "off the scale" weighting?
