(so true it hurts)
You know you're a 90's kid if...

You've ever ended a sentence with the word "PSYCHE!"

You can sing the rap to "The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air"

You've worn skorts and felt stylish

You yearned to be part of the Baby-Sitters club

You use to love playing with your MY Little Pet Shop

You know that "WOAH" comes from Joey from "Blossom" and that "How Rude!" comes from Stephanie from "Full House"

You remember when it was actually worth getting up early
on a Saturday to watch cartoons.

You wore a ponytail on the side of your head and had fluffed bangs

You got super excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school.

You wanted to change your name to "JEM" in kindergarten

You remember reading "Goosebumps"

You know the profound meaning of "Wax on, wax off"

You have pondered why Smurfette was the only female smurf.

You took plastic cartoon lunch boxes to school.

You remember the craze then the banning of slap bracelets and slam books.

You still get the urge to say "NOT" after (almost) every sentence...Not...

You knew that Kimberly, the pink ranger, and Tommy, the green Ranger were meant to be together.

You remember "I've fallen and I can't get up"

You remember going to the skating rink before there were inline skates

You ever got injured on a Slip 'n' Slide

You wore socks over leggings scrunched down

" Miss Mary Mack, Mack, Mack, all dressed in black, black, black, with silver buttons, buttons, buttons, all down her back, back, back" SHE ASKED HER MOTHER MOTHER MOTHER FOR FIFTY CENTS CENTS CENTS TO SEE THE ELEPHANTS ELEPHANTS ELEPHANTS JUMP OVER THE FENCE THE FENCE THE FENCE"
he jumped so high high high he touched the sky sky sky and he didnt come back back back til the forth of july ly ly he jumped so low ow ow he stumbed he's toe oe oe and thats the end end end of the elephants show ow ow

You remember boom boxes vs. cd players

You knew what it meant to say "Care Bear Stare"

You remember Alf, the little brown alien from Melmac and Vicki the Robot from "Small Wonder"

You remember New Kids on The Block when they were cool

You knew all the characters names and their life stories on "Saved By The Bell"

You played and or collected "Pogs"

You used to pretend to be a MIGHTY MORPHIN Power Ranger and you owned a Skip It

You had at least one GigaPet or Nano and brought it everywhere

You watched the original Care Bears, My Little Pony, and Ninja Turtles

All your school supplies were "Lisa Frank" brand.(pencils.notebooks.binders.etc.)

You used to wear those stick on earings, not only on your ears, but at the corners of your eyes.

You remember a time before the WB.

You've gotten creeped out by "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"

You thought it would be so cool to be Alex Mack.

You know the Macarena by heart.. LOL

" Talk to the hand" ... enough said

You thought Brain would finally take over the world

You remember trapper keepers

I only remember some of that because I was too young for a lot of it.

And now I'm applying to college.

(How's that for 'old feeling' factor?)

sadly, I knew the majority of the references made, but felt they were closer to the late 80's than the 90's...

Oh yeah. I totally had a ponytail on the side of my head.

I have ended a sentence with "Psyche!". Actually I can sing the entire them song for the Fresh Prince of Bell Air. I do remember Joey on Blossom always saying "Whoa!" and I remember Stephanie on Full House saying "How rude!" I remember when Saturday Morning Cartoons were worth getting up for. Exosquad, anyone? Oregan Trail is the shit. I never wanted to change my name to JEM but I do remember the JEM themesong. After all, JEM -is- adventure. I refused to ever read Goosebumps, but I remember that. I think I saw a TV show of it on Nickelodeon or somewhere like that. I remember Mr. Miyagi and "Wax on, wax off" though I would put that into an 80's category instead of a 90's category. Smurfette WAS the only female smurf and damn she was a whore.

I could go on and on but I don't want to sound more retarded than I do already.

Fine, is this more appropriate for this thread?

YOU KNOW YOU WERE A LITTLE GIRL IN THE 70'S IF.....

· You wore that rainbow shirt that had half-sleeves, and a rainbow that went up one sleeve, across your chest, and down the other.

· You made baby chocolate cakes in Your Easy Bake Oven. You washed them down with snow cones from Your Snoopy Snow Cone Machine.

· You had that Fisher Price Doctor's Kit with a stethoscope that actually worked.

· You owned a bicycle with a banana seat, handlebar streamers, and a basket.

· You owned roller skates with metal wheels. (Maybe even the one's that attached over top of your shoes!)

· You thought Gopher from The Love Boat was cute. (Admit it!)

· You had nightmares after watching Fantasy Island.

· You had rubber boots for rainy/snowy days - remember Moon Boots?
(Then you advanced to Duck Shoes in the 80s.)

· You had an orange Tupperware lunchbox, or a metal Muppets lunchbox with matching thermos.

· You had either a "bowl cut" or a "pixie", not to mention the "Dorothy Hamill". How traumatic when people thought that you were a boy.

· Your Holly Hobbie sleeping bag was your most prized possession.

· You wore a poncho, gauchos, and knickers.

· You begged Santa for the electronic game, Simon.

· You had the Donnie and Marie dolls with those pink and purple shredded outfits.

· You spent hours out back on your metal swing set with the trapeze.

· You had homemade ribbon barrettes in every imaginable color.

· You had a pair of Doctor Scholl's sandals (the ones with hard sole & the buckle).

· You wanted to be Laura Ingalls Wilder really badly. You wore that Little House on the Prairie-inspired plaid, ruffle shirt with the high neck in at least one school picture; and you despised Nellie Olson!

· You wanted your first kiss to be at the roller rink.

· Your hairstyle was described as having "wings" and You kept it "pretty" with the rainbow/purple/pink plastic comb you kept in your back pocket.

· You know who Strawberry Shortcake is, as well as who her friends; Blueberry Muffin, Apple Dumpling, and Huckleberry Pie were.

· You and your girlfriends would fight over which of the Dukes of Hazzard was your boyfriend.

· Every now and then "It's A Hard Knock Life" from the movie, "Annie" will pop into your brain and you can't stop singing it the whole day.

· You had Star Wars action figures.

· It was a big event in your household each year when the "Wizard of Oz" would come on TV. Your mom would break out the popcorn and sleeping bags!

· You had the "Wizard of Oz" doll set , too.

· You had subscriptions to Dynamite and Tiger Beat.

· You asked your Magic-8 Ball the question: "Who will I marry...Shaun Cassidy, Leif Garrett, or Rick Springfield?"

· You completely wore out your "Grease", "Saturday Night Fever", and "Fame" soundtrack albums.

· You tried to do lots of arts and crafts things, like yarn and Popsicle stick God's Eyes or those weird potholders made on a plastic loom.

· You made Shrinky-Dinks!

· You used to tape record songs off the radio by holding your portable tape recorder up to the speaker.

· You couldn't wait to get the free animal poster that came when you ordered books from the Weekly Reader book club.

· You learned everything you needed to know about girl's issues from Judy Blume books like; "Are You there God? It's me, Margaret."

· You thought Olivia Newton John's song, "Physical" was about aerobics.

· You wore friendship pins on your tennis shoes, or shoelaces with heart or rainbow designs.

· You wanted to be a Solid Gold dancer.

· You had a Big Wheel with a brake on the side, and a Sit-n-Spin.

Here's some things that I have on my "You know you're a child of the 80's" list that were left off that one you posted:

You watched the Pound Puppies

Girls wore biker shorts under their skirts and felt stylishly sexy.

You owned those lil' Strawberry Shortcake pals scented dolls.

Two words: Hammer Pants.

If you ever watched "Fraggle Rock "

You can sing the entire theme song to "Duck Tales". (Woo ooh!)

You saw the original "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles " on the big screen... and still know the turtles names.

You made your mom buy one of those clips that would hold your shirt in a knot on the side.

You played the game "MASH ". (Mansion, Apartment, Shelter, House)

You wore stonewashed Jordache jean jackets and were proud of it.

L.A. Gear... need I say more.

You remember reading "Tales of a fourth grade nothing " and all the Ramona books.

You wanted to be a Goonie.

You ever wore fluorescent clothing. (some of us... head-to-toe)

You can remember what Michael Jackson looked like before his nose fell off and his cheeks shifted.

You remember Hypercolor t-shirts. (Bonus points if you still own one)

You thought She-ra (Princess of Power!) and He-Man should hookup.

You thought your childhood friends would never leave because you exchanged handmade friendship bracelets.

You ever owned a pair of Jelly-Shoes. (and like ..24, probably in neon colors, too)

After you saw Pee-Wee's Big Adventure you kept saying "I know you are, but what am I?"

You had or attended a birthday party at McDonalds.

You've gone through this nodding your head in agreement.

You remember Popples.

"Don't worry, be happy"

You wore like, EIGHT pairs of socks over tights with high top Reeboks.

You remember watching both "Gremlins" movies.

You thought Doogie Howser/Samantha Micelli was hot.

You know all the words to Bon Jovi - SHOT THROUGH THE HEART.

You just sang those words to yourself.

You remember watching Magic vs. Bird.

Homemade Levi shorts. (the shorter the better)

You remember when mullets were cool!

You had a mullet!

You still sing "We are the World"

You tight rolled your jeans.

You remember "Where's the Beef?"

You used to (and probably still do) say "What you talkin' about Willis?"

You had big hair and you knew how to use it.

You're still singing shot through the heart in your head, aren't you!

You wore Eastland Shoes, IOU Sweatshirts, and only "drug dealers" carried beepers!!

Can you say K....I....D....S....INCORPERATED!!!

"Pogo balls" (those things that looked like a planet, you jumped on)

It was based soley on looks. I couldn't possibly base it on the smell of Jenisi's pee and if I were to base it on a woman pleading to blow me she would have been rated 99.5

Man... I can't seem to play it without it freezing/locking up every several minutes.

I'm thinking it's because my computer is too powerful for it.

Everytime I fire a shot while hunting it'll lock.

And spontaously, while moving on the trail, it'll lock.

The having to close, and load from the last save (and saving every 5 minutes) gets old fast.

Nevermind if I can't hunt, I can't suffice on trading items for food.

Yeah, some of the older games have problems with computers that run too fast.

I liked my old early 90's computer that had the "turbo" button that when it was turned off it went from 25mhz down to 16mhz.

We could use one of those buttons for this game.
