Now I know that not all of you drink, but for those of you who do... what do you like to drink? Do you have any particular specialty drinks that you like to make? Have any great alcohol-related stories to tell?

Speak up! :D

I drink Bailey's. It helps. Sometimes, it makes me see double. Seeing double of some people on these boards is elating. Seeing double of others on these boards...makes me drink more Bailey's hoping it will just all go away. When I pass out, it does. :)

I like vodka for plain alcohol. I don't think Smirnoff is by any means the best vodka out there but it is easy to come by and I like it chilled so I leave the bottle in my freezer. Sometimes I mix it with Red Bull, too. Red Bull and vodka is pretty deceptive, though. They creep up on you and then hit you pretty hard.

I love beer though!

Killians Irish Red used to be my favorite beer. I still love it, but some guys at work have turned me onto a Mexican beer called Pacifico. Its good stuff but I have to go a little out of my way in Alaska to get it. :D

Hrm. I love a good rum and coke. Tom Collins are good (yeah I know I drink an old man's drink but I don't care) Um. I don't drink hardly ever anymore. No time for it honestly. I don't really care though, it's nice not waking up hung over and having a full day of work/school related things to deal with. Stories? Well. 21st birthday party, I thought this was pretty funny. It was me. In a banana suit (I was completely trashed ... chugging jack from the bottle and whatnot) and my friend Devin offers me a piece of gum in my backyard... well I say sure. Take the gum pack, take out a piece, put it in my mouth, look at the gum pack then at Devin.. then again at the gum pack and yell "fuck your gum!" and I throw it over the fence and take off running... (I don't remember doing this but there were 4 witnesses ..ha)

Beer: Rolling Rock or Miller Lite

Drinks: Belvedere Cytrus and Minute Maid Lemonade (The fresh stuff)
Also like Patron Anejo and just about any vodka really. I'll drink a glass of wine on occasion.

Bailey's is awesome, and I like white Russians for creamy drinks.
Malibu w/pineapple or cranberry for fruity drinks.
The occasional well made Long Island or Bloody Mary.
Most any decent wine that's not too sweet.

None of this for roughly 3 more months, though. Sigh...

I'm partial to Michelob (Michelob Light if Mic Reg isn't available, but never that ultra crap).

It's basically all my dad drinks (he drinks Mic Light now). But I never really drank any of his beer. And I tried lots of different beers, it just seems to go down the smoothest.

Might be something in the genes. Either that or a weird coincidence.

Prior to being 21 (or having people buy me beer) it was all about getting drunk and that was usually whatever beer was available or a screwdriver.

I prefer rum and cokes, with Bacardi (or some variation of the Bacardi brand thereof), with gin and tonic as a close second.

I also like vodka drinks as a general rule. Vodka cranberry, vodka red bulls, vodka from a shot glass.

I also had this drink a few months which was very interesting...a Jager bomb. Jagermeister and Red Bull. Sounds gross, and frankly, tastes kind of sweet, but man, that shit'll fuck you up!

I dislike beer. Unless it's Guiness, and then only in an Irish car bomb.

But I gave up drinking for my New Years Resolution. <twitch>

I drink cape cods when I'm out, or mojitos. Yum. I've developed an affinity for Captain Morgan's Tattoo Black Rum and coke. I also invented a yummy drink with Lisa at Simucon - orange juice, bacardi razz and a splash of Captain Morgan's spiced. Fruity rum sensations.

I invented a twist on those last weekend - oj and ice in a blender, with a few gulps of sparking blueberry juice from Trader Joe's, and bacardi O. It was yum.

I drink Bacardi (Any flavor, but Gold & Vanilla are my faves) & Coke, Absolut & Mountan Dew (talk about a drink that comes up and slaps you on the ass), Mudslides, CC & Coke.

For beer I usually stick with Miller Lite.

Usually for shots I'll do kamikaze, blow jobs, sex on the beach, goldschlager, and jager.

I like to taste my drinks, so I stay away from mixed drinks that are sweet.

Grey Goose has a distinct taste that's different from other vodkas. I like this taste. So, I drink it on the rocks. No lime. No lemon. Just ice.

If I do drink beer, which is rare, it's usually Labatt Blue Light, or "Blue Light" as it's called here.

I'll switch to Jack and redbull if the night is going to be long. Jaeger bombs (Jaeger and Redbull) if I do a shot.

I stay away from Tequila... most of the time. I do like Petrone though.

I cannot drink Gin. At all. Never. Ever.

Manhattans will get you ripped, and they go great with Chinese food.

I try to drink more wine. It's pretty cool stuff, and there's a lot to learn about it.

I tried scotch once. I guess it's something I'll appreciate when I'm older, but it tasted like a rotting log.

vodka tonics... double vodka and red bull, perfect manhattans when i'm feeling classy, or the 21 year single malt scotch my boss broke out, that was fucking good. Rum and something.

007's are always a favorite as well... Bacardy O, Orange Juice, and 7up... I know one hardcore sorcerer who said that was an orange tic-tac, but I looked it up- an orange tic-tac is Orange soda instead of 7-up. I asked my bartender friend from NYC and he confirmed.

Beer, though, is my drink of commonality. Keystone when i'm poor and wanna get drunk. Saranac when I want to relax and enjoy it.

Cabernet Sovignon and Shiraz, too. I'm a wine-freak, but I don't consider wine to be "drinking".

I used to drink alcopops but they contain too many empty calories so I gave them up completely. Miss the days when four Barcardi Breezers would get me totally mullered.

Now I drink Vodka and Diet Coke or I'll have a Blue Lagoon if they make it with diet lemonade.

I have the occasional shot of Tequila or Sambuca and they do the most amazing flavoured vodka shots at my local vodka bar.

I don't drink much beer these days either. It's pretty situational. About the only thing that steadily tempts me, beer wise, are Belgian beers made by those beer making monks. Those fellows know what they are doing. If I get old and my wife dies before I do, I could totally see joining that order.

Beers in order of preference: Anything I haven’t tried. Estrella Gallicia from Spain of all places. Sapporo. Tiger. Shiner Bock or Heifenweizen. Sam Ads Winter Lager. (the ONLY 2 heifenweizens I actually like) Miller Lite. Schlitz. PBR.

Liquor for me is rare: Tequilla, strait. No salt or lime. Petron. Sauza. Hate Cuervo though. Used to drink El Presidente and Cokes when I was younger.

Wine: Im not an expert and know little but if I smell it and I salivate I know its good. Mainly Shiraz. Had a great Mendoza recently. (50%cab, 50% malbec)

Mad dog is very special, no matter what color you drink it's identical to the color that hits the toilet bowl. I can honestly say I still drink it every few months as a gag.

On my 21st I pounded a ton of beer at applebee's, then drank a bottle of MD in 6 minutes and ended up jumping in bed completely naked with one of my friends mom. Well not completely naked, I was wearing a well placed sock which fell off as soon as I hit the bed.

I have a hard time with tequila in anything but blended margaritas anymore... since the time my freshman year of college when I drank an entire fifth of Cuervo Gold by myself, and spent the rest of the night puking tequila and nacho cheese doritos. All while still in my dress from my sorority formal, with my date holding back my hair. Ahh, memories.

Backlash, are you fucking kidding me?

OB is the worst beer. Ever.

More than any other alchoholic beverage that I've had, this shit tastes like water.

Water rinsed through an armpit, or something else rancid. Maybe a 'taint? I really don't know, because I don't drink the rinsewater from taints, but I'd have to imagine it is pretty close to an OB.

I understand you probably had a very great Korean barbeque, and a very intellectually stimulating conversation during the course of the meal, but this should not serve as a halo effect for the worst goddam beer on earth.

I will refrain from discussing the shortcomings of Korea as a whole so as not to weaken my argument. I choose instead to focus on the worst beer ever created... that just happens to come from Korea...

Palinka is the Hungarian version of sljiva. Hazi palinka is the homemade or moonshine variant. I dig sljiva too.

You can get Sarajevsko pivo but you have to pay way too much for shipping according to a Bosnian dj friend. Sarajevsko Pivara is the distributor and they give it to some exotic US beer places too.

Been drinking Hendrick's gin and tonic lately. (preceded by two shiner bock light blondes as noted in the beer thread).

I've been trying out various gins lately and fuck I do not like any of them. Aviation Gin tastes like ass, Tanqueray tastes like what I imagine my dad's sweat tastes like... Bombay... hard pass, do I look Indian? Beefeater? Sounds like eating pussy. Hayman's old tom gin? Great stuff, can never find it.

I do like the Hendricks though. Moderately priced (unfortunately not a call), it's frankly like drinking lime water.

Good stuff.

Jeez, Bill. Feeling a little nostalgic lately? This was a good read. It made me wistful about the early days of the third (this current) generation of the PC. What ever happened to DeV? She was awesome. So many names of people I actually liked in this thread. That community was much more fun.

Gin is ass straight. Bombay isn't actually from India

Tell me more about these PC generations.

I have. I've just never heard of the other boards being called first or second generation.

I forgot/never knew this thread existed. I haven't had a drink in a couple of years, but I would be remiss not to mention this one:

Jack Daniels Sinatra Select. I've tried more expensive whiskeys. I've tried "higher quality" whiskeys. Sinatra Select was the best whiskey I've ever tasted. It's pricey, but not top top end pricey.

It is just flat out amazing.

What generation were Klaive's boards?

These boards and Klaive's co-existed for a time.

So did The-Spot, but I think that was gone by the time Klaive started his.

I remember. I also remember Klaive wanting people to come meet him and fight him because he was some kind of "martial arts master". Every time I tell people that I'm a double black belt in Brazilian Karate, I'm channeling Klaive.

I like the Laphroaig 10, as well as a good IPA or black lager. Jack’s Abby does a great House Lager and Smoke and Dagger, and Harpoon’s IPA is excellent.

I agree straight gin is terrible. I drink gin and tonic with a slice of lime. I also knew Bombay Gin wasn't from India, poor attempt at humor - I simply don't like it.

I do like Hayman's, but can never find it anywhere.
