Does anyone know how many ranks of physical fitness a Giantman warrior with 100 constitution would need to max out their hit points?

Also - How much multi opponent combat training should a warrior consider?

EDIT: Heh... so many questions. How many ranks of Armor use should a warrior need to wear full plate without an RT penalty?

Giants gain 7 hp per PF train, +/- 1 per +/-10 CON bonus, and have a Max Health of 235. So, with a giant with 100 CON, they'd get 10 HP per PF train. 235 divided by 10 is rounded up to 24 trains of PF. Of course, a warrior wants more then that in PF, for redux, but 24 would be the minimum for max health points. :)

MOC training, depends on other aspects. I'd say 30 at the minimum (so you gain focused mstrike). Other's would probably say more or less..

I thought mstrike was still broken?

I forgot about physical fitness being the only redux skill now, better double that for life heh.. :)

Nope, mstrike works just fine, as far as I know.

And PF isn't the only redux skill around. It's the only PRIMARY redux skill. Other skills still count, but not nearly as much as PF. (From play.net, Primary skill: PF... Secondary skills: Two Weapon Combat, Armor Use, Shield Use, Combat Maneuvers, Multi-Opponent Combat, Dodge, Ambushing... Tertiary skills: All weapon skills.) 2x'ing in PF is recommended (both from other players and on the play.net site) for any warrior. :)

Multiopponent ranks rather depends on what you want to do. 35 ranks will give you two strikes on one target, 55 will give you three strikes on one target. Personally, I have 55. It also helps you in swarms, because multiple creatures attacking you will lower your DS depending on their level vs yours.

The RT penalty will also vary because stats can influence it. The official stance is 140 ranks, which is also what I have on my warrior.

Seems like you got your answer on the PT part - yea you should be doubling that for life at a min.

if you are a warrior you should be at least 1xing PT anyway, forever.

All right, so I've done some toying around with Tsoran's spreadsheet. Heres what I've got for level zero:

STR: 50
CON: 58
DEX: 68
AGI: 68
DIS: 73
AUR: 82
LOG: 88
INT: 70
WIS: 82
INF: 21

Using those stats at level 0 a level 100 Giantman Warrior would look like this:

STR: 100
CON: 100
DEX: 100
AGI: 100
DIS: 100
AUR: 100
LOG: 100
INT: 100
WIS: 100
INF: 74

2x Armor Use
2x Two-Handed Weapons
2x Combat Maneuvers
1x Multi-Opponent Combat
3x Physical Fitness
2x Dodging
25 ranks of Climbing
25 ranks of Swimming
1x Perception

Additional TPs go toward Disarming when the points allow.

Redux at level 100: 64.6%

I realize that 74 INF will have a negative impact on Warcry, but is that actually going to make a huge difference?

What do you guys think about this?

Looks pretty good to me. Don't do Warcry myself, so can't answer that question.

The one thing that bothers me though....are you actually planning on getting this warrior up to 100 at some point in time? I ask because of the stat growth....if you know the character WILL get up to 100, then it's all good...but if the character is going to get to, say 50, and then be happy, I'd play the stats a tad different (have them max out earlier).

(I'd also suggest sticking 15-20 ranks of Arcane Symbols somewhere in the training plan as well....both to get into the Broken Lands at some point in time, and to hold a few more spells over spellburst.)

<<Redux at level 100: 64.6%>>

hahaha

Leave it to Tsoran to have the shittiest calculator ever, or:

Leave it to you to only have 64.6% redux at level 100 lmao.

But anyway, at least 2x PF, and IMHO, do not exceed 5 ranks of MOC.

It's 140 armor ranks to get into full plate. My suggestion is to 3x armor and not 3x PF so you can actually wear it.

I can't even fathom playing a character to 100 at this point. That would take a looooong time.

The thing about this particular character though is that at one hundred all but one of the stats WILL be 100. I just think thats neat. :D

Yeah, I was thinking about maybe 3x armor and 2x PF until plate and then 3x PF for Redux. Something to think about.

Plan of champions:

TEHXXXX (at level 42), your current skill bonuses and ranks (including all modifiers) are:
Skill Name | Current Current
| Bonus Ranks
Armor Use..........................| 200 100
Combat Maneuvers...................| 186 86
Two-Handed Weapons.................| 186 86
Brawling...........................| 186 86
Multi Opponent Combat..............| 25 5
Physical Fitness...................| 186 86
Dodging............................| 186 86
Perception.........................| 143 43
Climbing...........................| 90 20
Swimming...........................| 90 20
First Aid..........................| 143 43
Trading............................| 150 50
Training Points: 13 Phy 310 Mnt

~50% redux.

Cool, cool. You probably had a lot more TPs than the one I posted does early on, I imagine. I don't think too many warriors start with 50 strength and 58 constitution. :)

130 ranks are required to remove the RT penalty from Full Plate. Stats do not affect this. Stats do give a bonus to RT that can cancel out various penalties including the RT penalty.

140 ranks are required to minimize maneuver penalty in Full Plate. Get 140 ranks.

MOC: I'd recommend .5xing it for defense purposes alone. If you use a slower weapon style, obviously the multiple attacks will be an f-ton more risky, so the offensive side won't be as useful.

Tsoran's calculator is absolutely, unquestionably flawed. No question.

Bob's plan is ok for LUOZARS.

XXXXXX, your Combat Maneuver training is as follows:

Skill name Mnemonic Ranks
Berserk berserk 2

Parry Mastery pmastery 1

Available Combat Maneuver Training Points: 1

How is this looking? What other CMANs should I be looking into? I was thinking Feint, Bullrush, and Haymaker (but I don't know how much not having brawl skill will affect my Haymaker).

Latrinsorm

Get Feint (warrior tricks) and Berserk through the guild. No partner reps, easy to master. The only bad part is audience reps if you live in some podunk town like Solhaven and spit reps which are just flat-out nasty.

Get Bullrush as a knockdown maneuver and Weapon Bonding just because. Try Mighty Blow on for size, that should be fun with twohanders. Combat Mobility and Surge of Strength are two fun ones too.

Ebondale

So you think I should scrap the Berserk CMAN idea as well as scrap Feint as a CMAN idea?

How do I cancel one CMAN to distribute it's points toward another CMAN?

Latrinsorm

cman unlearn <name>
cman unlearn confirm

I'm not going to lie to you, it will take FOREVER for those CMAN points to migrate. However, given that you're only doing like what, 10? it shouldn't be too brutal. Maneuvers (especially berserk) just aren't that vital in the early going, especially with THW, so there's no real need to get them through CMAN. Once you get in the guild, berserk + tricks it up. Grab a few batter ranks too so you can smash stuff. You won't get feint for some time in tricks, but you'll have it well before you need it if you keep more or less at it.

Thanks for the tips. Still got quite a ways before he gets into the guild, though. :) Maybe I'll keep those CMANs until May and use Fixskills so I can switch those points around right away. I hate waiting for stuff!

Bobmuhthol

Fixskills shouldn't change your maneuvers.

You have your first 30 days to change maneuvers instantly.

Latrinsorm
01-24-2006, 08:29 PM
If you untrain all CM and fixskills, you'll have lots of extra TPs and 0 CML points. Train up CM, and you just fixskilled your way through CML migration times.

Bug abuse ftw.

I wouldnt consider untraining CMANs then using a fixskills to be bug abuse. CMANs are essentially skills with stamina costs in my mind, FIXSKILLS should indeed include those.

Bug abuse or not its still a good idea. Still, though - I ought to be within my 30 day window. :D
