Yeah I'm happy the steeler's made it in. I think they can beat Cincy but that ends their post season.

Also glad redskins made it rather than dallas.. Skins gonna get their ass kicked in tampa next saturday.

You're nutz.

He obviously has a lot of faith in Garrard or think Leftwich's ankle is gonna be better than indicated.

Jags won 40-13. They went 12-4, with their only loss at that point going to the Colts. Leftwich and Taylor are healthy, and Greg Jones is back to run down New England's defense.

Remember to tip your waitresses, and try the veal.

*cough* As a Washington D.C. native I will tell you that the measure of a good Redskins season does not come from whether or not they do well in the playoffs. Recent history has taught us that we can expect to lose. All that matters is that they beat Dallas.

That being said: Fuck the Cowboys. :moon2:

No you guys don't really seem to understand. The Steelers have already won it. You just don't know it yet. They already made the rings and everything. Are you calling me a liar?!

The Steelers? Coached by Bill Cowher, who thought Kordell Stewart would be the savior of the NFL?

:nutty: :jerkit: :goodluck:

You obviously didn't get the memo. This year, the Buffalo Bills, with the magnamity indicative of their benevolence, have decided, for the 12th year in a row, to let someone else win the AFC.

Their reign of supremacy, though, is imminent, their patience with the unwashed hordes which are the other teams in the NFL has reached its limit due to the suckitude of said hordes. Next year is the beginning of the end for everyone else. These first 36 years in the organization's history have just been the build up to the greatest dynasty ever. 19-0 next year, baybe!

-TheE-

Edited to add: If you dislike the Patriots, click on the link below. These were made the week after the Bills played the Patriots on Sunday Night Football, and everyone on ESPN couldn't remove their mouths from Bruschi's nutsack.

Are you high? I'd much rather have to play Dallas then Washington. Washington > Dallas. They've been unstoppable in December, and when Tampa beat them in the regular season it was a questionable 2-point conversion. Amazing game, though. I'm looking forward to going next weekend! I just hope we play better than we did today, ugh.

Too bad that's been said every year, and the NFC still wins the Pro Bowl.

TheEschaton
01-02-2006, 12:31 AM
Yeah, and the AFC always won the Pro Bowl when the NFC won the Super Bowl. Generally acknowledged that the winning conference realizes the Pro Bowl means JACK SHIT and thus doesn't care if it wins or loses.

Whereas the losers need to justify their worthless existance.

Bucs over skins. Last game the "questionable" 2pt was obviously correct (we have video recorders now days that show the play again) Washington played a real shitty game today and are lucky to have squeaked by. Redskins are not near the same team they were earlier this season.

Steelers over cincy.

Giants over Panthers unless Car gets foster going then it's a diff story. Otherwise they are fuked. Does foster show up and they win or ... they lose.

Side note after spending the weekend in Charlotte NC I have a new respect for the "old south" when it comes to being football fans. They take that shit serious.

Patriots are not the team of recent memory but I think they have the edge at an 8'oclock game in early jan against a so/so florida team. I would like to see the jags win this but the lean is by far on pats.

Serg if you feel liking backing up some of your picks with some cash .. u2u ftw.

Earlier in the season?

They've won their last 5 games.

Last 3 games:

Skins 31 - Eagles 20
Skins 35 - Giants 20
Skins 35 - Dallas 7

I agree this past game wasn't as clean as the Dallas or Giants game, but it wasn't a ghetto steal like the Buc's pulled on us earlier in the season.

We'll be bringing it.

The one great thing about this game is it's being held in the same place as the first matchup, Tampa. Every Redskins player will think about how they lost the last time they entered Raymond James, and that crowd will be fired up. Whoever makes the least mistakes in this game will come out on top. Penalties will be the key to this game. Hopefully, Gruden can keep his boys under control and focused on the game.

All I have to say about that game was....holy dominating defense. 2 turnovers and the game is over doesn't make for an exciting game. Edell Shephard will forever be a punk in my book for protecting his own body instead of the ball for a game tieing touchdown. Chris Simms, if you wish to be the Bucs starter next year you will seriously need to work on the tipped ball situation. GODDAMIT!

Xyelin, just in case you didn't click the thread. http://forum.gsplayers.com/viewthread.php?tid=19620

Also, Shawn Taylor spitting in the guy's face was totally uncalled for. If I didn't want the Skins to advance so much I'd stay he should be kept out the rest of the season.

He'll definitely get a fine and an ass kicking by Gibbs.

Wezas
01-07-2006, 09:00 PM
Someone spits in my face, I'm taking a swing. I know I shouldn't, but it would be a reflex, like bracing yourself if you're going to fall.

It counted against us, but I'm glad the ref saw the spit. From the video all I saw was a Redskin helmet getting smacked and a penalty against the Redskins - needless to say I was steamed until I heard the whole story.

That game sucked, BORING.

Although I still don't understand how that wasn't a touchdown at the end... He had possesion already, why does it matter if he dropped it later? Once you're in the endzone and you possess the ball it's a touchdown. Otherwise every person who spiked the ball would be fumbling it.

Axhinde
01-07-2006, 09:02 PM
Even still, an NFL player should conduct himself professionally. Both players were retarded, one was at fault and one has massive arms. I still think Brunell fumbled, fucking forward motion my ass. Oh well, I'm still happy we even got to the playoffs.

The rule states that when a ball if caught while the player is falling, he must have control of the ball on the way down. He barely bobbled it, but what really hurt the replay was he stuck his elbow out to brace for the impact. Pussy. That's what really made the ball come loose and make it look bobbled.

Ahh I was watching it on mute because I was on the phone so I couldn't hear what the ref was saying. I'd like to see it again but I thought he caught it upright then dragged his feet and fell.

Yeah that shit don't matter.. have to have poss going into the ground. Unlike a run where you can be 5 feet out of bounds in the air and get the tip of the ball over the goal line. Poss is key.

The worst part about the Giants game was the sea of orange seats you could see in like the 3rd quarter. Man that was harsh.
