Khaladon had to brave the masses, well, all 13 of us, to give the cleric seminbar since Uliq decided to be a no-show. He had notes from the dev team, but wasn't able to answer any in depth questions since he's not working on it.

Clerics will be pures.

Clerics will reallocate normally at mandatory, and be able to reallocate into a Paladin when that class is released.

Spirit Servant is due out in September and will be cool. 6500+ variants of servant, dependent on runestones that will be found or purchased, area summoned, and deity alignment. The servant will LK you on death, seek help, and pick up disarmed/dropped equipment. It will also be able to carry one or two small items.

Unholy weapons are due out Soon. Black ora, a few in treasure system, some raffled/auctioned.

Most every spell in the GSIV world will be based somewhat on Spirit Lore or Religious Lore. In general, clerics will be expected to specialize in one of the two. Spirit Mana Control will replace Mana share for 302 bonus, though the formulas will be changed to take into account that singling will probably be the norm.

Zealot is going away, to be replaced by some sort of other Divine spell. Possibly direct damage/ball version of holy bolt.

Spell aim will be double-able by clerics and should make holy bolt viable.

Interdiction may be changed to transfer some of the drained mana to the cleric.

Atonement as planned is being scrapped. Suggestions for a replacement are welcomed.

Sanctify is going to Paladins, clerics will be getting Divine Receptacle - effectively imbuing spirit/cleric spells. To quote Khaladon, you will be able to take a pure gem and 'create the holy hand grenade of Antioch'.

Exorcism will be released with demon summoning for sorcerors.

Heroism and Bravery may be changed to grant a strength bonus instead of AS.

Another Khaladon quote 'Clerics don't need any DS boosters'.

Paladins will be able to raise (highest spell in their circle) and use sancted weapons.

In answer to the question 'Why can't clerics tell if a weapon is blessed/blessable?' Khaladon answered that it should be a simple change to the look verb and he would check on getting it done.

Lots of new stuff should be deity-alignment dependent. Possibly only able to raise those aligned with your pantheon.

That's all I can remember through the scotch, will post more if I remember, or if comments/questions jog my memory.

I think it stinks they are basically taking the physical side of the cleric away. Heroism, Bravery, Benediction and Zealot made them able to use weapons.. take it away and they will have to hunt with spells only.
