DVD to mp4 converter?

anyone know of where i can get a free program to convert DVD's into mp4 files to put onto an Ipod Video, or anyone buy one of these they wouldn't mind sending me their copy?

I've used it to convert at least half a dozen DVDs to the wife's new ipod. Basically you tell it which drive the DVD is in, and then you pick where the movie starts and ends (make sure you don't pick retarded subtitles or languages)

I can't get this to work at all. I downloaded the converter 1.1 and then the µTorrent (?). like it says to download. Then i go into it, file, create new torrent, i go and find where the movie is, click the file the movie is. Then it says put in a Track whatever that is so i just put in a random thing. Then you click save/convert, and it starts going but then it gives me a hash error. WTF am i doing wrong? Can you give me a step by step on what to do please, if it's not to much trouble. And this turns it into a .avi, i thought they had to be mp4 to go onto the ipod video's?

In the "save as" drop-down, there's an option to save them as mp4. As for the step-by-step, I don't have the software on my work laptop, so I'll try to help you out tonight.

As for that Utorrent stuff, I'm drawing a blank. If you used the torrent that I linked in my previous post and downloaded the file, that should be all you need (I think it comes with either a keygen or registration code).
