Okay, I need a bit of help! Today I set up wireless and after four hours and lots of help it's working great on my laptop. The problem is, my sisters laptop won't detect the signal even though I put it right next to mine.

I've allowed her on my security settings etc and I'm sure her wireless is enabled (although not 100%, she doesnt have a button on her laptop like I do.)

I was really wondering if there's some secret weird way of working it out. Her laptop is a Packard Bell Easynote L. Let me know if you need more info etc!

Thanks!

Okay scratch that... Wireless thingy wasn't enabled and now it's working fine! Hehe, I suck with technology.

Now you know an easy way to piss off your not-so-tech-savy sister. Disable her wireless card and listen to her cry.

I need to get mine set up on wireless again, since it's actually plugged right into the wireless router. The more pregnant I become, the more difficult it is to sit here. Blah.

I guess this is a good spot to ask this question:

Why is my new HP dv1340us unable to pickup a signal at Panerra Bread but it can pick up signals from other routers/servers?

Anyone else have this problem?

I'm not familiar with Panera Bread's wifi, but do you know if you need to get any info from the counter there? They might not be broadcasting their ID.

I found this if anyone else was/is experiencing the same problem.

Indeed, turning it on usually helps.

It isn't always function + F2. On mine it is F8, for example... ;)
