I haven't seriously played a wizard in a long time and I thought I'd throw up my wizard's current training plan for critique. She's still within her 30-day fast migration/stat adjustment, so any suggestions are much appreciated.

I'm looking to play a pure runestaff caster, as the training plan will show.

The stats are the auto-gen.

If you have put those stats into a training spreadsheet and you are happy with the results, then all is well.

It depends on how high you want to take the mage, some of those numbers will max fairly early.

Everything looks pretty good to me. The only suggestion I'd make, and this is just MHO...dump the trading, and get some more magic-y ranks. As an elf, you've got a decent INF bonus as it is, and the 30 TPs you've put into trading could probably get another spell or two (or possibly more lore).

The trading is actually an RP choice. She's my Nalfein, and I see her as the type who is good at bargaining and persuasion, of which trading would be a part. If it wasn't RP, I'd naturally put the points into other magic skills.

Running the stats through a spreadsheet or numbers cruncher sounds like a good idea, though. Thanks, Askip!

Right now, at 24, that's what my halfling wizard's training looks like. He uses a 4x runestaff with 4x full leather... He's a CoL master, with a 242 bolt attack in offensive, and a 215ish DS in offensive, self-spelled. He can hold his own well in zombies, niirsha, and sacristan spirits in Ta'Vaalor.

I never really intended for this guy to get higher than 25, though... Once I get this last level, I'm gonna fixskill him into an enchanter. That way I can do a 5x+ project with him.

My advice is to max your training and stats so you can level as fast as possible over the next 30 days.

When you are close to losing your instant migration and stat fixs I would change to the leveling plan you think is successful and go from there.

If you plan to BOLT, spells 513 and 425 will help out a lot.. I personally chose to single the Major and Minor elemental list while throwing my third spell into the wizard ranks when available.

You can only have up to minor acid and do extremely well.

*nods* That's what I was figuring, and thus why it'd be a choice. And RP is most definitely a thing worth chosing stuff like that for. :)
