Hey, I dont know if anyone has any info on this, but are there programs out there that will make a "video" of what goes on, on your computer when you want it to, that will run in the background?

I have a keylogger so I can see what people type, but I cant actually monitor what they do unless they type it. As we all know, most of the work on the computer is point and click.

Also, I'm not looking for a lengthy debate on "That is spying, invasion of privacy" etc etc. I would like to know what my in-law's kids do on my computer.

Well, if its an internet browser, the history tool will tell you that much.

A google search turned up:

A video would be a very bad idea IMHO.

Most good (developed, buy to use) keyloggers include an option to take screenshots every x amount of seconds and store them in a folder.

I'd rather have a video that was made in say a .rm mode so it's a small file even though it's a large length. I'd also wish it to be in like elapsed mode so it'd be sped up, much like you see all those sunsets on TV happen in like 4 minutes, except not quite that fast, for example.

I think it would be very very very very very hard to do this discreetly. I know that such software exists (recording from video card to a movie file, anyway), but it would be pretty damn hard to do in a stealth mode. It's much more practical to just take a bunch of screen shots because that's unnoticeable.

A little late in replying to this and dont know whether you got it sorted, but the spectorsoft eBlaster looks pretty mad. If logs everything and sends you a copy of everything (chats, websites visited, keystrokes etc.) that someone does on a specified computer. It is done in stealth mode and doesnt use video, just logs everything.

This is what we use at work. Takes a screenshot about every 5 seconds when there is activity and compiles the screenshots into a video.

I'm not sure i'd want to know what kids are doing on the internet... unless you like recording your own kiddie porn...

A lot of Anti-virus programs will pick up keyloggers and such, so if your target has a AV software it is possible they will detect any program you run.
