Bored?

I notice a lot of peopld that have been around for a long time have all these characters...and all of them are quite high trains...so, does it really get that boring when your high up in the "food chain"? i would think that if i had a high trained sorc i'd have a blast pissing people off. If it really does get that boring where you woudl start a new characters...around what train does that happen for you?

It got boring when Simu did away with the autoroller and allowed everyone to reallocate.

all my characters were way above average because I spent the time to get very nice rolls and research how to train.

Now you dont have to know shit or put out any effort and your character can be the same as everyone elses

I'm only 74 trains and I'm bored as hell. Hunting sucks when you can only hunt living things, and the towns with available hunting areas really suck.

I don't get bored I have these weird things called friends. You can interact with them, sit around and tell stories that you exaggerate(knowing full well they were there and know you're full of it) go hunting way way way over your head. Walk around and talk to random people, etc. I only get in maybe an hour a night and rarely am I bored.

I feel old enough to do so. And I did so until I got annoyed with the backlash. Not Backlash the poster, I mean the people calling me a slut/whore etc. because they disliked that they could not kill me in GS, and I did something they didn't like. Now I rarely play.

As a sorcerer, I feel that there are a variety of fun ways to deal with that.

Also, I don't really care what retards say about me, so I'm pretty much immune to those types.

Apparently when I'm in stance defensive nothing's allowed to actually get through the EBP system.

They can nerf it, I rarely use it after it has been dispelled.

I can still sit in hiding with only colors and sneaking up and rarely get pulled out of hiding from a like trained rogue with 2x+ perception. If I throw camo on it's not likely I'll get found by anyone using search or sunburst, even with the aid of spells. Probably a handfull of characters could pull me by shaking the ground or using e-wave.

A good cure for that is group hunting. It'll get you over the hump until you can hunt in another area solo again. You also might get lucky enough to have a cleric or Volnite with you, and you could hunt undead.

Ah, well, ha. Didn't know that. Ever since reallocation, my cleric's having a blast hunting dead and undead alike, with both spells and weapons.

I think the problem she is having is that she is aligned to Mularos, meaning (not sure on this), hunting live critters is easier in respects to bane/smite.

Right you are, Stray, about the alignment anyway. The last Cleric I was playing switched from a bane deity to smite, because once DA came in, killing live things didnt suit her RP wise.

She could quite effectively kill live, even after the commune/conversion, BUT the mana costs were much higher for live. And the opposite when she had bane as her primary spell. So offing live critters on a rescue/gear retrieval was doable. A normal hunt for living was iffy. And she didnt remember what in heck she carried that sharp pointy thing for. Balance her shield probably.

Hmm. I think I might just travel with Invisibility on until im in a Sancted area. Squares are scary in GS4. If they stop to cast sunburst or what have you I can gladly take the time to take their life.

I do wish I was old enough to not worry about all but a few characters, and that was actually an achievable goal in GS3. In GS4, Everyone can basically kill everone else with little difficulty.
