Final Fantasy IV Advance

Well its finally out. Nintendo and Square Enix have released Final Fantasy IV (2 U.S.) on the GBA. They've even added a new 50-floor dungeon and a soundtrack jukebox option...

Its been so long since I've played it that I forgot what badass thugs Cecil and Kain are.

It seems like they've changed the dialogue a bit, though. A kid in the first town says something that sounds like realultimatepower.com when he says, "I just can't stop thinking about dark knights. Dark knights are so cool, and by cool I mean totally sweet!"

Actually had a chuckle at that one.

In other news I saw that Final Fantasy V Advance and Final Fantasy VI Advance (!!) is coming out in 2006 for the GBA.

I have always wished FFVI was a handheld... *happy tear*

Sitting here at work on New Year's Day has given me quite a long time to play FF4 since there isn't anything else to do. I saw in a guide somewhere on the web that it is recommended to have your party members at levels 58+ to fight Zeromus... WTF? Is that for real? I can go fight him now and my party is like.... 41ish.

I don't think FF6 would make a good handheld game. I wouldn't really look forward to 100 hours hunched over a tiny screen. I'd probably still buy it if they souped up the graphics a bit.

Peh. I've been a member of GameFAQs since like 2000 or so. I just can't get to it from the base network. :)

I've beaten Zeromus now and my party is all over level 60 though I beat him at around 52-54ish. I want to build everybody up so that they can get through the 50-floor dungeon I just unlocked with some style.

Trying to get a Pink Tail is a pain in the ass, too. I only have two sirens so I have to reload my game after every two fights of trying to get an item that has a 1/4178 or so chance of dropping. Suckage.

Anyone know how to get through Edge's portion of the Lunar Ruins?

It's easier if you reroll ally, Paladins have it EZ mode I hear so they'd be able to get through that no problem.

This ain't WoW, son! :D Besides, my party already has a Paladin in it in FFIV. The main character of the game is a Pally. ;)

Heh, I been trying to get my little brother to let me borrow this game for awhile. So while I wait, I been playing my old SNES version of it. The last time I played was in 1993, every character is 99 except Rydia who is 98. So I started all over again and got back to the moon, but I'm about level 70 and I'm thinking, "What in the fuck did I do when I was 11 to sit here and get all my guys to 99 practically!" Heh! And the end boss is still somewhat difficult even at that level. They just don't make games like they use to...
