6000 Premium Points

I have received several offers that have me re-evaluating the points sale.

For now, it looks like I am going to hold onto the 7,000 points on one account.

The account with 5800 points will reach 6k in 6 weeks, enough to pad 8x to the max.

I have an offer of 15 mil for the 6k.

I don't get it, couldn't you take an 8x set of armor, get it heavily padded, and make much more than the 16m in the difference between 8x and 8x HCP?

I mean, I don't know anything about the market, but it seems to me at those higher enchants, having any amount of padding makes the price start to skyrocket.

I'm hoping/expecting these points sell for more than the difference, especially if someone wants their pride and joy armor padded instead of something off the shelf.

Personally, I see the market value of padded armors decreasing now, due to the fact anyone can pad any armor pretty much, just a matter of X Amount of Points spended to reach X Amount of Padding. Sure those who have no points nor patience will pay coin, but I am willing to bet alot more padded armor will come from these Points, thus possibly driving down volume.

Well, if you're paying for an armor's capacity to actually keep you alive, padding probably has about no barings on this whatsoever in comparison to the jump from brig to chain and ever moreso from chain to plate.

...Lower ACs, and it's simply whether you choose to train in those extra armor ranks or not: soft leather != rigid leather is pretty substantial in my book.

Not to mention padding's complete randomization.

The only time that I've ever even considered padding to be hyped up to its pricing is damage padding combined with hardcore lightening, maybe, on certain plate classes for races with lower hit points :shrug:

I see the price of some HCP/HDP armors dropping, but not so much. There is still a limited pool of people with enough points to make padded armor. Even 4x Padded would take 3 1/2 years (4000 points) to earn if you had no points. Right now there is just a major influx of points as it's just been released.

Then we have the fact that most HCP/HDP armor are normally full coverage. Some classes this isn't the best option. Also, for casting classes they really shouldn't go for the full/higher asg armors. In thier case HCP/HDP is the best way to ensure surving a hit.

Then there is the people like me, who are still trying to decide what type of armor to pad. I currently hunt in robe aromor that's 4x weighs 2 and looks like a shirt for RP reasons. Now, I know that I should really get into something better, but I am having trouble deciding between Studded and Chains. If I pad one now for use, I won;t be able to really change my mind unless a nice set of padded Partial comes on the market that I can afford or 4 years have gone by.

See the points aren't so limited with Simu able to just give some at pay events like the Promise...

Plus there has always been ways to get padded armor, that is perm recently, before the points. It's not all volunteer work...
