early 20s hunting

Hey all, was going through my account today, remembered a 20th train wizard I have. Wondered why I didn't play him any more, logged him in, and remembered - it's hard.

By this age, he's not hunting with a sword any more, but he can never get enough mana to finish a hunt. What do you suggest he hunts? 81 mana, at 20th train.

Snagging some 40 charge gold wands shouldn't be too difficult. 40 charges would be 240 mana which is 3 times your current full amount. Used sparing between casting to wait for pulses will help you maintain some sanity.

Rotting woodsmen in Solhaven are 23
Wood wights are 20 and wear no armor
Arch wights in Icemule are 19 and also wear no armor

Question for any undead hunting bards out there: How do you stop em from casting? I don't have feint yet so I'm struggling a bit, especially with boiling wights.

I lullabye things, with my bard, but I don't hunt undead, I imagine it doesn't work?

Stunning Shout? Song of Noise? But that's a bit mana intensive. <gaze>

I used to trip wights with my bard. Lullabye when low on stamina, it doesnt' make them sleep but I think sometimes it makes them sit. She did the same for carceris' (haven't hunted her in a while)

on topic for the wizard, mine definitely did wights in icemule. They were SO easy! Gather wands. Have your friends gather wands. Dupe like crazy when you're not hunting. I've never bought a plain wand for my wizard.

Hunt Wights in Anwyn Castle. Just sit at the bower, rest until full of mana, run the loop and acid them to death, go back to the bower and fill up with mana, repeat. Fastest trains of my life in there. And the only time I used a bolt to hunt.

Lullabye does work on undead, yes, but not as well as living.

I didn't script that. I ran it by hand, that was before I knew about scripts. I guess I could write one for the area since I still have it memorized but I'd rather be doing AB :cool:
