It was crap. My message to the losers on the show who actually thought it was real and are now heartbroken:

We're too sweet to do that to people. Obviously.

I found it ironic they were rewarding people for generally being stupid.

A selection of people were fooled into thinking they had been flown to Russia, trained as cosmonaughts then sent into space for a week. In reality they were in one huge set based in south England and had spent their time in a hyper realistic simulator. They won prizes for NOT guessing that it was all fake.

Man, thats f-ed up. But, if they had a sense of humor... not so bad really considering how elaborate the set-up was.

Well, if they were too stupid to tell British accents from Russian accents, of course they were going to buy into the whole no-weightlessness-in-near-space thing.
Jorddyn, hates this crap

Some of the actors were Russian.

You aren't joking? They were supposed to be in space for a week and the fact they had gravity didn't clue anyone in?

Heh, they were told they had an anti-gravity unit on board. These folk were carefully selected after months of intensive searching mind you. They were the most gullible, space-naive retards in the country.
The whole time they were being filmed 'big brother style', I couldn't help but think how the producers can't have realised 6 people living in a box could be so FUCKING boring.
It was painful to watch.
Then when the end came, it was the biggest anticlimax I've ever seen on a gameshow. Also I think Mr Vaughn summed it up rather well when he said they could have just sent them to Russia, for much less trouble and cost. That was funny.
Anyhow, total shit.

Damn that's mean as hell. Poor people, they must feel pretty stupid. I know I would have.

That... that is awesome
"...They were selected because they showed a trait of "suggestibility" during psychological testing, said Channel 4..."
I couldn't help but chuckle, and then laugh :saint:

So like... what did they win as a grand prize? For being sofa king stupid?

Their very own anti-gravity unit?

Well there was about 12 people who made it to the final selection, then three (plus an actor) got sent into "space". Everyong gets the following:
A trip to Russia to the real Star city where they Are trained as cosmonaughts so that they can get a ride on the "vomit-comet", the zero-G simulated used in films like Appollo 13. Basically it's a plane that goes straight up then comes straight down.
Everyone who didn't get on the ship got £5k (about $9k). Those on the flight got 5k every day they didn't figure it out. They were stupid so racked up £25k (around $40k). God bless being dumb.

Pretty sweet deal but you have to worry about people recognizing you on the street as "That dumb guy". :)
