Anyone else try it out?

I had gAIM for a few minutes, but that was lame, due to not being able to transfer files worth shit...

Anyways, I think this is nice, lacking direct connect, but everything else is very nice!

it's different... the lack of a way to put up custom aways without saving is a burden.

When I use it, I get IMs but I can never read them. A window doesn't even pop up. It's frustrating. I went back to the old one.

You mean a program that someone wrote as a Linux AIM alternative isn't an AIM clone and therefore is not compatible with Windows AIM transfer protocols?!?!? OH GOD THE HUMANITY.

It crashes my comp on load up for some reason. Went back to old aim an no problems.

I actually like it so much that I stopped using Trillian in favor of it. I like virtually commercial free radio and AOL fits the bill nicely. That along with the container that catches all IMs and keeps them grouped.

I liked it so much I uninstalled it and put the older version of AIM back on. Hateful.

Trillian does that too. :P

I stick with Trillian because I like the ability to rename people in my buddy list, among other things.

Goin to have to put the vote down for Trillian myself, used to despise the program now I really can't seem to bother chatting without it.

Trillian for the rename & grouping.

It makes remembering who's who so much easier.
