This is a crosspost from the Sorcery boards.. Information announced during Simucon.


They basically went down the spell list and told us what the change was or if there was going to be no change.

701 - bloodburst - will have same success as now but Necromancy will enhance this. The possible benefits are draining the target's blood to restore your own and greater effects.

702 - no change

703 - change to Corrupt Essence - removed from the mental aspect and now allows the target to prep a spell but not cast it due to mana corruption

704 - no change

705 - They did research and discovered this spell never was influenced by first aid training! This will continue to be so in GS4. OOPS! :)

706 - no change

707 - eye spy will have more abilities, no cap durations, around 30sec/lvl

708 - bug free finally! wounds will stack, enhanced by necromancy - limbs may have other uses such as attacking the previous owner of said limb

709 - no change

710 - maelstrom will not be enhanced by elemental lores

711 - pain infliction will be enhanced by necromancy and not first aid anymore

712 - CoS will be enhanced by demonology - increases how often the cloak will strike, decreases chance of backfire onto the sorcerer (less than 1% chance of backfire with no demonology training)

713 - nightmare - no change - it is an illusion

714 - Scroll infusion - runestones of various types and qualities will be incorporated into the game, some runestones will be teachable to others even other professions they will help determine how many charges on are a scroll and how many more can be added, and to unlock the spell for charging. Only fresh scrolls can be used. Some scrolls will not be able to be unlocked/charged. Magic item use will be needed for unlocking and scroll reading & circles/spells known will be required for charging. Runestones can be created and some will be released in alpha testing.

715 - no change

716 - disease - necromancy will help lower the time it takes to start

717 - no change

718 - Torment - removed from unbalance type damage!!! There will be more damage possible and also puncture/slash attacks. Demonology will help with decreasing the TD jump from tryin to control a torment with other spells prepped.

719 - Small bonus from elemental lores, mana return the same but can be enhanced by training in mana control 1x/1x in elem/spir up to 2x/2x elem/spir.

720 - minimum mana costs will rise to 14/15 and much mana control is needed to lower it from 20

725 - minor summoning - runestone system will help summon the demon and it won't be so involved as demon summoning. The demon will be able to assist with menial tasks such as finding someone (in nearby vicinity), storing mana, carrying coins, watch for theft, hinder minor sanctuary castings. The range of control is enhanced by demonology and the demon is non-combative.

730/5? - Animate dead - not much info was given on this. it will be more a combative spell that allows the creatures to maintain most of their special abilities to assist you
