Solstice Dreams: The Return of Foehn's Promise - Consolation Items · on 12/7/2005 1:12:36 PM 1243

"Ticket holders who are unhappy with their prize may exchange their prize for one of 10 consolation prizes."

1. FIXSKILLS

2. AGE reset

3. Mayhem Tattoo (custom scripted tattoo, very cool)

4. Three feature alterations

5. 2 custom ezscript commands for an item (must choose from a predefined list of commands, but the messaging can be unique).

6. 2500 Premium Points

None of these items are transferrable to another account/character, as applicable.

Originally it was stated that we would have 10 different consolation prizes for you to choose from. Because all of our ticket holders are Premium members, we decided to have Premium Points as one of the options. There are a number of options within the Premium Points system, which may make this option very appealing to you.

Bah, didn't want to re-post, but since its buried, I guess its ok.

I am considering walking in, asking for my consolation prize and leaving, thats how good I think the consolation prizes are.

And, yes, the points would be best for me, as then I could take my 6X haub to heavy padding, and more I think.

The premium points look good to me as well, but I'm definitely going to try for an actual item.

Me too. Me too. Those consolation prizes are really awesome! I have a problem believing that there won't be several to lots of folks turning their won item in for a trade. Just based on the Plat Item List, and known properties of other items already in game.

I am now far more comfortable with not knowing a damn thing about any of the prizes.

Let's see..

Fix skills.. not needed
Age reset... who cares
Mayhem tattoo .. annoys the shit out of me
3 Feature alterations.. nothing left to get really
Custom EZscripts.. eh, why bother if I could just spend some

2500 PREMIUM POINTS ... yes, I think that's the ticket (no pun intended) should I not get something extraordinarily appropriate! Hell, that's 4 alters minimum. Not that I'd spend it on alters.

Those are much better consolation prizes than I had expected. The 2500 points is huge. At current account prices, that's like $750 worth of backpaying.

100 pts. /month @ 25 months @ $39.95/month = $998.75.

Hmm.

It would be 25 months at $25 per = $625. How is everyone else figuring $700+? I only ask because this isn't the first time I've heard it.

I just figured I'm paying about $40/month for my account. I didnt calculate just the premie cost, I calculated the cost of playing GS.

For me, that's premie.

Wow, stuff to actually make you BETTER. So we can buy our way to being better finally. That is so fucking lame...

I wish they would include "Prep Spell" alteration/change in the consolation prizes. Heck, I would even pay simu if they get me a GM to change mine just for that.

Because for some reason, I was thinking 2.5 years at $25 a month, instead of 25 months at $25 a month.

I dunno. I think having good consolation prizes is a lot better than terrible ones.

Now, to figure out what SIMU thinks their points are actually worth. I am guessing about 10% of the actual subscription price. While players have decided that about 5K points is worth about 20M silver, or $300.00 roughly.

Heck I don't care WHAT the consolation prizes are. I plan on walking off with an item dammit!!

At least the premium points would be worth it if I had to choose one though.

The consolation prizes are teh good, IMO. I'd take the points with no problem if I got something shitty. I already used all my built up points for alterations, LOL.
