iTunes is pretty cool. Its been expanding since it was first released. 99¢ a song isn’t bad really, and $9.99 a CD is pretty damn good considering prices of CDs these days. You’re lucky if you can find one at that price in any store.

I have only purchased one CD through iTunes Music Store - Handsome Boy Modeling School. The actual file format is not mp3, but you can burn a CD and re-rip the files to mp3.

I’ve found the selection a bit lacking. And I like to make trips to the CD shops. Its like a little event for me, a personal enjoyment. Tower is my fav place to go. You can’t listen to EVERY CD like at most other places, but they do have listening stations and I have found quite a few great CDs just from that. Also, they have the best selection of any place I have found. They have imports.

So I’ve been fucking around with iTunes tonight. Last night I was talking to Hecto about his DJ stuff and Podcasting. Looking into the whole Podcast thing it turns out I need to upgrade my system OS to be able to do it. I think there is a little DJ in me that will force me to upgrade so I can Podcast my favorite stuff. The Music for the Masses thread should be evidence of my love for music and wanting to share. :) I’m sure WB could whip up a good playlist as well.

So I’m messing around with iTunes and find this new iMix thing. If you have an account you can create and publish a mix as long as those songs are in the database to sell. iMixes, as well as Podcasts, can be voted on and there are top rated lists when you go to those sections.

I created a test iMix called An Eclectic Evening. I can see it in my account, but not on a search. If anyone is bored try searching iMix on iTunes for my mix and plz rate it 5star. The top iMix currenty has only 5 votes.

And of course, if you have an iMix or Podcast please post the title. 5star rating guaranteed.

I guess I listen to bad music, because a ton of the CDs I listen to cost $10 or less.

The question is not how good the music is, its where you buy it.

iMixes and Podcasts have been around for the better part of this year.

Why, when you finally find out about something, it is worthy of an entire thread of your thoughts on it?

Because no one else has?

Everyone, my biggest critic. A warm round of applause.

It kinda sucks how the music has to be on Itunes first before you can podcast it. I mean, they don't even have good classic rock on there.

One thing Apple does that impresses me is the whole iMusic scene. Have you guys seen the ads for the iDeck or whatever? Looks pretty sweet.

And judging from the other playlists you post, Backlash, I'm afraid I'd only be able to give an Eclectic Evening 4 stars, were I able to vote. :sorry:
