Oof... I only know Bick from making flicking motions every time I saw him in game.
One thing though, if that's posted on Witchvox, lots of good energy will be sent his way.
Here's to you man.
Get well soon and enjoy the painkillers and compensation.

Shit.
That's no good. I've played with him, he seems a decent guy. Have done illusions with him a bunch.
Odd how these kinda things happen. Goes to show you what can happen at any moment.

Please keep us all posted if you hear anything.
I interacted with his character fairly regularly in Ta'Vaalor.
Good guy. Was really working hard on improving his RP.
My thoughts are with him.

Witch hit by drunk driver
Proclaimed by: Seamus McKeon
Proclaimed from: Los Angeles, California
Proclaimation...
Hello,
A Wiccan named Andrew Gill in Marquette, Michigan was hit by a drunk driver Friday night and is currently in a coma. He is only 22. Any and all healing energy, magick, spells, and circles are greatly appreciated. A picture of him is available online at
http://www.ponderland.net/pop/OOC/Bick
it's for a game he plays online. It's the only picture we have of him available on the internet. His family and friends are quite literally freaking out, so please include them in your thoughts.
May the Gods bless you threefold with health in return.
Blessed Be, and thank you.

I was alerted by his mother of what had happened. she had hunted me down to tell me. as soon as i get any more information, i will surely pass it along.
Shysmile, Bick's wife.
just a small foot-note, the drunk driver that hit him, died at the scene.

Not to take anything away from Bick's sad story.. but in order to keep this thread going so we can remember updates, and so as to not collect a bunch of sad threads, i'm going to post this here. I didnt personally know this person, but the CHE officers' email list received this today:
Roberta Wilson-Jolley, player of Midorrii, and co-secretary for White Haven, passed away last Sunday after a four and a half year battle with ovarian cancer. She is sorely missed by her family and friends.

well, it has been a bit of time, since i got any news, but the news i got wasnt the best. i had found out, from him himself, about 2 weeks ago, that the whole story that was told about the accident was a lie he had come up with. it took me this long to post an update due to having to work through some things myself due to this. i really dont know what else to say other than, i hope his karma that he has coming is gentle... though i highly doubt it.

Wouldn't be the first time some asshole faked their own misfortune. Some GS/online people can be pretty fuckin shallow.

Didn't one guy fake his death during the WTC tragedy ? Think I remember that story on the forums or something.

Bloodwrath from DR if I'm not mistaken.
Ya, there was a story in a gamer's "zine" about that. Apparently the players was piece of crap to begin with, and a scamming mooch on top of it all.
It was sheer irony that the guy wasn't thought well of until after his demise in the WTC was reported. Prior to that he was just another power leveling jackass. His re-emergence into the world of the living just knocked him further down the ladder of humanity.
Sadly, Scooter Boy ranks above either ... he only received some head trauma and needed a hug after a GM's passing was announced.
~edited to change the name. I would hate to libel another person with an uber retarded character name.
For amusement:

I find the following line from this article funny:
Although it’s not the norm, wives have called Simutronics to beg the company to suspend their husbands’ accounts. Neil Harris, an executive vice-president at Simutronics, is unapologetic.
"Well, you know, they could be smoking crack," he says. "We’re certainly offering something a whole lot healthier."
Heh, SImu has been worse than any drugs I've ever done. ;)
What I don't find funny is that the article sorta paints all players as freaks and geeks, S&M dungeon owning, foot-fetish-website-hosting, tabletop-playing-in-biker-bars wierdos.
Not that that's untrue - but damn it, no one was supposed to reveal our true identity!
-TheE-, who is only a geek, and not a freak.

Best line ever
<<DragonRealms even lets players choose the cosmetic details of their characters, right down to their hairstyle and skin tone. Unsurprisingly, there are few characters in Elanthia that are grossly obese, with pasty skin and unwashed hair.>>

Truly sad that someone would need attention so badly that they would do a thing like this. Whoever you are, you need help. Serious help.
Augie

That is just seriously sad. How pathetic must your life be that you are so starved for attention that you have to make up some bullshit story like that?
I would never wish that kind of tragedy on anyone, and hopefully for him, karma will be a boomerang.
He threw it out there, and let's hope it comes back and hits him across the head.
