Making up a Ranger and I was able to to pull out this for training

2x archery
2x brawling
1x ambush
1x armor
1x SMC
1x survival
1x FA
1x Spell
2x Perception
2x Hiding

I'm wanting a Voln-Fuing, Archering, wand imbuer, am I going to be doing all right without having any Combat Maneuvers?

Am I still going to be able to skin with relative reliability with this?

You'll skin okay. You'll be dominated by CM's from other players and creatures, and you will be weaker in general. I'd lose SMC and pick up CM, personally.

I do fine without CMs.

But I also train in dodging

Good call. This guy will get rocked by any sort of maneuver. He won't be able to make decent use of the EBP system either.

That's going to mess up the success of your open ambushing/aiming (unless ranged weapons are different than non-ranged :?:)

We all know how much I think Archery is viable, however, breaking this plan down into future growth, there are a few questions I'd ask.

1) What armor are you planning on wearing?
2) How much SMC do you exactly think you need to be a good Imbuer? I've got 24 ranks, and when done right, I do just fine.
3) If you shoot straight up the Ranger circle, I could forgive the no dodge training until <maybe> 40 trains. Past that, you're going to end up in trouble.
4) I'd definately be interested to see what path you take to gain levels.

My ranger does just fine with 18 ranks of CM (three ranks of MFire)....and I'm sure she'd do just fine without those. My warrior went without any CM for her first 35 levels and did just fine.

(ETA: And yes, you'll want to add in some dodging. 0.5x-1x should be all you need, with 618 added in.)

You can do the first 50 levels without any dodge or CM for sure. After that, I can't really comment, but I imagine it could work for another 10 at least.
